Five lovely days of relaxing at this old world charming hotel, staff great, all so very helpful, food delicious, buffet breakfast very good and the menu for the evening meals was superb, rooms very comfortable. Ideally situated on the edge of town and handy for the Tourist Information Centre and Buses.

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, Comfortable, Excellent Location, Good Food, and the hotel staff were superb, nothing was too much trouble, all very pleasant and seemed happy in their jobs. From the staff on the reception desk, dining room, bar tenders and the cleaning and maintenance people, all were lovely.
The Breakfast was delicious and served in the lovely cosy restaurant, no hassle, no rush, tasty buffet breakfast with all you could wish for.
The room we had was on the 3rd Floor, (no lifts) spotlessly clean (cleaned every day) and when we had a problem with the shower holder coming away from the wall, it was fixed with no hassle by again a very happy polite "handy man". Yes it did show a few signs of age, like the paper peeling a little by the window and the lines on the ceiling, but its an old building so these things are expected.
The pool area is lovely, cosy again, we didn't get a chance to use it on this trip but we did sit outside with a drink and relaxed. If your used to staying in those Marriott, or Holiday inn type hotels and like them, then this is not for you, its olde worlde charming, lots of small sitting areas hidden away. My only niggle is the room was so hot, It may have been that we were at the top in the back and so the sun shone in there, but it was sweltering and only had a small window to open, could have done with a fan or air con.
We visited for a special occasion, my husbands 50th birthday and were made to feel very welcome. I/ we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone; however it is more suited to the over 25's, couples or small groups rather than young families; (this is just my opinion). Thank you to all the staff at the Revere from the fishy man and his wife!

Room Tip: We were in the back and it was quiet, the rooms on the front may get some street noise but not early or too late!

The revere was a very pretty hotel, the staff were very nice, our room was at the top which was quite a treck as there is no lift, but we just about managed it. The buffet breakfast was very good, everything that you would want, and the staff replenished your coffee when needed.
The rooms are clean the bedding could have been a little better as it was rather worn.
We stayed for a 4 day break which in my opinion was just enough.
The pool looked very nice but was very cold, so no swimming.
We would stay at the revere again, but would requests a room on a lower floor.

Our ground floor room was delightful and spacious with lovely, unique furniture and a good sized bathroom. The four poster bed was very comfortable.

We would have changed a couple of things in the bathroom: a shower curtain or screen would have been welcome, and there were no hooks to hang clothes.

We were right next to the pool and terrace area but sadly it was much too cold to try them out.

Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. We had to leave early on the last day and were provided with a tray in our room for an extra £5. The bar area was snug and cosy in the evenings. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Revere.
