“A Charming Hotel That Is A Great Value”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

In almost every way, The Revere Hotel exceeded my admittedly rather low expectations. The hotel oozed charm and coziness, with it's central location in St. Helier a perfect base from which to explore the island. My 'Standard' room was comfortable, clean and accommodating, with a separate walk-in wardrobe, and a large toilet with a bath/shower. The nicest thing about the room, however, was the fact that it was full of character. For a couple, one must admit that the bed was on the small side, and at times the blanket did not seem large enough.
I truly do believe that it is the staff that make any property, and in this case all the staff that we encountered were professional, courteous and got everything we asked done. Comparing to the other three star properties I have stayed in, The Revere was leaps and bounds ahead in almost every category. While choices for breakfast were not anything special, they were more than ample. The only thing I'd highlight in this respect is the abysmal orange juice concentrate that they offer- it was, in a word, horrible. It doesn't take much to put out fresh orange juice, or at least one that is drinkable. If someone from the hotel is reading this, I recommend you try it and hopefully you will see where I am coming from. Another thing of note is that when I needed a dental kit, the hotel did not have any. This is a very basic thing that all hotels, and even airlines offer their guests. Same goes for a shaving kit- The Revere needs to stock up on both of these fundamentally basic amenities.
At the end of the day, I found this hotel to be a great value, and a perfect base from which to explore the island. While there were hicks, I was impressed, and shall return.

There was 30 of us staying here for a signing competition. Nothing was a problem for the staff, we had tea, coffee and danish pastries when we arrived in the morning, a lovely 3 course meal at lunch time. Tea, coffee and biscuits was provided for when we came home in the evening. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. A lovely hotel.

Part of the Lowestoft Signing Choir group. Totally agree with Elizabeth B's comment. Hotel was gorgeous. Food in restaurant was excellent. Perfect service in every way and very friendly. If I ever go to Jersey again will be staying here

We stayed at this hotel for one night duration to enter the Eisteddfod Festival. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The lunch was lovely and the breakfast was very plentiful with whatever you would want. The receptionists were excellent and took time to answer questions on the history of the building and even print out some information for us.
This hotel will certainly be on my list of holidays to go on next year and I hope to book when they have their Medieval Night.
Brilliant.

We were a mixed group of 30 people some of us Deaf, some of us hearing. Our ages ranged from 7yrs to over 70. We travelled to Jersey to perform in the Eisteddfod Festival. We entered and won the Open Class of the Signing Competition. We stayed one night at the hotel. The staff and the hotel were wonderful from the moment we arrived till we departed. The staff were warm, welcoming, extremely caring and efficent in every way. We had a 3 course lunch on the Saturday which was superb. The rooms were very comfortable and pleasantly furnished and decorated. The whole of the hotel was spotless.

we picked the revere to stay as from the picture it looks quaint and when we arrived we were not dissappointed as other visitors have said it is looking a bit tired but dont be put off as the staff from the ladies on reception to the resteraunt manager will make your stay enjoyable as it was our 45th wedding anniversary we were treated to a bottle of wine and a box of chocs left in our room which was a really nice touch we will certainly be back to the revere next year a big thank you to all the staff BOB AND BABS

Room Tip: try and ask for room 46 with a fourposter bed cant go wrong
