We stayed in room 53 which on the face of it was nice with a four poster bed but we soon discovered water stained wallpaper, damaged and water stained ceiling, scruffy furniture and a tired looking carpet. Our room over looked Doran bistro courtyard which was noisy. In the plus side the staff was friendly and helpful. If the rooms were modernised I think I might return but not in it's current state.

Spent a week here for a break with a friend. I would be happy to stay here again, but there are things which could be improved.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly which made a huge difference, and the breakfasts had a large choice and generally good - except for the toaster which seemed to catch fire or stop working fairly regularly.

My room was small, too hot and old fashioned and bed a bit lumpy. You had to dance around to get wet in the shower, especially if anybody else on the corridor was running water at the same time. No air conditioning, but if you left the windows open it could be noisy. One night there was a pool party going on at 2 in the morning, the splashing noise was very distinctive - however when I rang the night porter he told me there was nobody in the water - obviously untrue.

The hotel is well located, a short walk from the town centre and the bus station and boats. There are very good eating places in the same road. When you are returning to the airport you can pick up the bus at the end of the street, so it is very convenient.

I would be happy to return, but I wish they would bring the accommodation up to the standards expected by modern travellers.

Room Tip: No lift, so if stairs are are difficult try not to get sent up to the top floor.

Thank you for review and we note your mixed thoughts to the bedroom you were allocated. On a positive note I am pleased to read that you enjoyed our location, breakfast offering and service from the team. I confirm that we have a small number of bedrooms listed for upgrading this coming winter.

Wonderful hotel with excellent staff and a good location. Some rooms may be slightly outdated but overall the hotel is excellent. There is a nice little swimming pool and some sunbeds in the courtyard.

Room Tip: There is no lift so elderly travellers will prefer rooms in lower floors.

I decided to go to Jersey at 1130 hours on a Wednesday Night for the two following nights, so I gave the hotel a ring and was given a room without any delay or fuss. When I booked in the following evening booking in was easy and without any problems, my room was road side but gave no noise problems it was a bit tired But then you can’t expect the hotel to decorate between each occupancy, the bed was a bit of luxury well worth the price of the room. My only real gripe if you wish was the problem with the Wi-Fi, it was a bit difficult to find what to log into they give you the password at the reception and it’s in the room but don’t tell you that the Wi-Fi is not named after the hotel the Wi-Fi was a bit slow but no problem. As for breakfast very nice and good times as well in short I’ll be back if there’ll have me.

Stayed for 1 week, wished it was longer. Lovely charming hotel in an excellent position. Celebrated our pearl wedding anniversary and were given a lovely 4 poster room with sparkling wine and chocolates, lovely touch thank you. The best asset of this hotel are the wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble and a very special mention has to go to Alex, who made our holiday so special, never saw her without a smile on her face. Food, service and staff fantastic, couldn't fault anything. Will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel.

Two weeks of glorious sunshine sounds like a recipe for the ideal holiday.Combine it with staying at this little gem of a hotel and you really have knocked it off!
I have stayed in too many hotels in my time which could have been, frankly, anywhere. A Holiday Inn is a Holiday Inn, a Radisson is a Radisson.
but there is only one Revere!
Of course it is difficult to say what is the hotel's best feature. It is undoubtedly full of old world charm, every room is individually furnished, the courtyard which includes the swimming pool is undoubtedly unique with its turreted stairway to the sun terrace.
The oak bar and it's superb resident barman,Toni,is hugely warm and welcoming, and on Friday and Saturday nights is enriched when the baby grand piano comes alive under the fingers of a young lady who provides exactly the right mix of programme whether you are dining in the superb adjacent Candlelight restaurant or quenching a heat induced thirst.
However,The Revere's greatest strength is undoubtedly it's staff! From the moment you check in at reception, it seems that their whole purpose is to ensure you have the best possible experience! Nothing is too much of a problem!
The breakfast is buffet style, but truly gargantuan in both choice and quality. There is a choice of restaurants onsite, and the Candlelight offers a variety of menus using the pick of the islands produce. Our highlight was a flambé dessert prepared at the table by the marvellous maitre de Alexandra!
In many ways it is unfair to mention individuals, because the entire team at the Revere are superb and contributed so much to our holiday.
And all this in a boutique hotel set back only yards from the sea front and a short walk from the shopping centre in St Hellier!
What more could anyone ask for?
Would you be surprised to learn that, God and the bank manager willing, the Revere will be our destination of choice next summer?

What fantastic comments about the Revere and our hard working, professional and dedicated team, thank you. Your very positive review was discussed at our weekly team meeting on Friday and it is most encouraging when our efforts have been recognised.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Revere in July 2015.
