I have been to Jersey on a number of occasions, staying in different hotels each time, however currently this is my favourite.
The reception area is very friendly amd welcoming and this also extends to the rooms, which are ample in size, comfortable, very clean and cheerfully decorated.
The hotel also boasts an excellent pool with a jacuzzi and also has a great gym.
The breakfast area is also very clean and spacious with a great selection of food on offer.
Added to the mix, the centre of St Helier is just a short walk away and the hotel is a good distance away from the noise of the centre of the City.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front of the hotel.

I stayed here for 3 days whilst on a business trip. Granted the rooms are a little tired but very clean. After reading a few of the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect and was a bit apprehensive, I neednt have been. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I ate in the Cafe Aroma restaurant the first night - the service was impeccable and the food was first class. Breakfast also was very good with a wide selection of everything!
On top of this an amazing spa with infinity pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and treatments should you want them. It looked very new and was spotless, I went at about 5pm and it was a little too busy, not so at 8am the following morning it was lovely! A very pleasant suprise. I shall return agian when not on business.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

The Ayush spa transports you away from the real world into a complete oasisvof calm. The herbals tea is stunning and relaxing and the massage pool's amazing. Kavita
does an amazing shirodhara head massage with oil. The relaxation room is heavenly.

I stayed here for two nights during half term. i have to say that the staffa are all very helpful. the room that i had did have a sea view. the bed was confortable and the room was very quiet. the hotel has free Wifi in all rooms. the breakfast was average but to be honest is what i expected from a large hotel. the pool and spa are fantastic and well worth a visit. there is parking and the hotel is very well situated for what i needed.

Our bedroom at home doesn't have hot drink marks all over the tables, nor a 10ft high brick wall facing the window making it dark and gloomy with no view whatsover, so why do the staff at the de France think that we would like a room like this on the 6th floor? We requested an alternative room and were given another on the 8th floor which was smaller and smelt as though it hadn't been used for months. The tatty furniture was certainly not what you would class as 4 star. After thinking do we really want to spend our 6 day holiday in this room, we asked if we could upgrade to a better one, so at last we were given a decent room in the new part of the hotel for an extra £50 a night. My gripe is that as the hotel was by no means full, why not let the guests have a decent room?
Breakfast was run of the mill, but there were never any fresh rolls. The bread on the toasting table had surely been left out all night as it was so hard.
We would not stay here again, all in all, very disappointing.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a spa room.

I have just had a very short stay in the lovely old Hotel de France. It was one night, for two friends, coincidentally during half term on an autumn break tariff. But we were made to feel as is if we were special and favoured guests. The reception staff were excellent; recommending restaurants, make a bookings, drawing a map for us, sorting out an iron etc. Our room was fine, nothing special but everything you expect in a large hotel, and we did face to sea. The pool and spa area were really good and free to all guests. The hotel had character, though now hidden by an enormous concrete medical centre / car park, you felt as if you had travelled back a hundred years.
