Great beach with long promenade adjacent. Not the usual tackt shops that abound beside many GB beaches

This beach has lovely soft sand ideal for children, also a stone terrace which is ideal for those who wish to just sit. Good views of Elizabeth Castle and across the bay to St Aubins.

so much beach, so little used.
on the whole long beach we only saw about 20 people and it was a beautiful day, although a work day. Lucky us, we had it mostly to ourselves. Sea goes out for miles

St Helier Beach is the Island's original Airport, with landings and take-off restricted to low tide! Today it is the site for the annual Airshow, with the esplanade providing a great (and free) vantage point. The afternoon has a carnival atmosphere with a range of vendors and hospitality pavilions established in the park, which is only a short walk from the St Helier town center.

I attended the event directly from the much better known Duxford Airshow, and Jersey has a number of pluses, including less often seen participants like the Swedish Air-force historical wing.

St Helier and Jersey have many other attractions, but for me this was sufficient reason to visit.
