“Good service . Good food .”

We turned up on spec with our party of 7 of varying ages after having spotted the the restaurant on our way into town , we were given a table straight away , one of our party asked for a course without sauce and this was greeted with no problem ! , between us we had at least 15 tapas and everyone was of high standard and good size portions , and it all arrived pretty much together , 15 clean plates and 7 happy customers .

“Why is this place so highly rated?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014 via mobile

The service was the worst I have experienced for as long as I can remember. Sat at our table and two members of staff seemed to assess our 'status' but no one brought us a menu until someone came over and asked 'okay?'!?!?! It just went down hill from there, any request was greeted with 'sure I can do that for you' NOT! The food was short of mediocre and a million miles away from authentic Spanish tapas! Anyone who rates this as great Spanish tapas must not have been to Spain!

“The best tapas I've ever had”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

I pre-booked this restaurant before arriving in Jersey after finding it on Trip Advisor by emailing the restaurant. I received a prompt reply from the owner and was welcomed on arrival.
We went on a Friday evening and I was glad we'd booked as it was quite busy and isn't a big restaurant.
They also serve normal meals if you don't fancy the tapas, my father-in-law had the beef wellington and it looked just as good as the tapas. We were a party of 6 and all but one of us had the tapas. Three dishes each was plenty, for tapas, they're large portions.
The service was very good too, and for the size of the portions, the prices reasonable.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014

We visited La Siesta on our first night in Jersey. To say it was disappointing is an understatement! The service was dire with only 2 people working front of house, one of which spent more time at the till than serving tables. The food was only average when it finally arrived. The only time there was any urgency was when I asked for the bill.

“Worth seeking out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 July 2014

A real treat, excellent food and good honest service head waiter advised 'don't order more than three tapas dishes as you won't be able to eat more' - which was true.
Competitive priced wine (house red is very good) and food is well cooked and presented.
Best meal we had on the island and we did have a few and paid a lot more for some too.
