I was very lucky to visit Jersey for the first time with work for 2 nights and I was plesently surprised! As arriving after a very long day after being up since 2:30am and touring around the island, we checked in at 5pm. Once arrived they took our luggage and gave us our key and escorted us to our rooms. Shortly after our luggage followed. (A very quick check-in) We had a side sea view room which was lovely as we had the best of both worlds. Overlooking the park on one side and the sea on the other. Our rooms had everything you need: hairdryer, iron & ironing board, all toiletries, Jersey guides, tea & coffee facilities, complimentary water and extra pillows. We settled in very quickly also finding they have a wide range of films to watch which are all up to date and FREE ... Unfortunately did not get time to watch any!
The hotel has many facilities including their own private cinema which has recently been refurbished (very comfortable). Unfortunately again I did not get to experience the whole of the Spa, but I did have a mini-manicure which was lovely and was very pleased with the results. The relaxation room is a fantastic room which also gives you a bit of privacy.
It was a buffet breakfast with everything you could ask for, and if there is anything you cant find the staff are more than happy to get it for you.
On the whole I had a lovey stay at The Grand Hotel. One more thing that topped it of was coming in on an evening and finding the curtains has been closed, glasses of water out and bed covers pulled back...already for bed!!

Room Tip: Save a bit of money and go for a side sea view as you it is still a fabulous view. Our room 329, you...

My wife, eldest son and I stayed for two nights in mid April. First impressions were poor as it is right on the four lane road leading into St Helier by a busy junction. It is smartly decorated in the communal areas but the bedrooms are a bit tired. Too much crushed velvet and velour for our liking though. Furniture clearly been around a while. We paid extra for a seafront room thinking we would be on the sea front. However we overlooked the four lane roadway and junction. We had not bargained for the considerable road noise. Our son had a single room that overlooked a wall but it was considerably quieter. The champagne bar was good annd the staff were friendly and attentive, but I would not give it five stars. I have stayed in Ritz Carltons and Four Seasons hotels and those are way smarter and what I would consider five star. We liked Jersey but not take by The Grand or St Helier.

Stayed here on a business trip for a change from the Pomme d'Or hotel. It's an impressive hotel and clearly catered to the high end crowd when the tourists used to flock to Jersey. However, you distinctly get the impression that the crowds have gone but the hotel is struggling to maintain its high-end image.

Very friendly and helpful check in. The location is excellent and the hotel has a very impressive view to the sea. The lounge / bar is nice, especially if you get a window seat.

However, the room I had was very tired looking and stank of stale body odour. The bed had a very grubby looking velvet throw and the TV was frustrating to use it was so slow. Inexplicably, the shower had a waist height frosted glass window that faced out onto the road in it - with no curtain or blind.

Food in the restaurant was nice, but very over priced and portion size wasn't great.

The spa at The Grand is located in the basement. The swimming pool is quite small, with a temperature of the English Channel in late spring. There were two 'experience showers', of which only one was working, with all options resembling getting caught in a winter storm on Blackpool seafront during the depth of winter.

The steam room appeared to have LED lighting, though this was not working and the 'house lights' on. The sauna appears not to have had a thorough clean since it was built with bits of wood, debris and dust under the seating.

On the plus side, the relaxation room was quite pleasant.

If you are wanting a luxury spa break, I would recommend the Spa at the Hotel de France, it will cost more I expect, but worth every penny.

This was our second visit to the Grand Hotel and it was definately worth returning. We were welcomed back like family and treated so for our entire stay. This time we booked the Gourmet Break and from our collection at the airport to our return transfer everything was excellent, breakfast was just as remembered plentiful, hot and a fantastic selection ( do try the cabbage bread), the afternoon tea was also fresh and tasty. The hotel offers excellent service in all the bars and restaurants and the hotel bedrooms have everything you could want. We ate both nights in Tassili the hotels Michelin starred restaurant (reviewed seperately)

Spent a lovely evening at the Grand. The food was great apart from sugar in the salt cellar?? The waiter was very bemused and apologetic and gave us free coffee. My niggle is the same one as previously. I sat and waited for 40 minutes and no one came to serve. In the end we went to the main reception and asked for service. This is a recurring problem which must be addressed at a hotel of this standard. When the food arrived it was good although a couple of glasses of champagne, a couple of cokes and some bar snacks cost just over £50.
