We stayed at the Apollo for a week at the beginning of July in a Balcony room. We were a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but were really pleased with the overall experience. Check-in was very quick and efficient and we were really pleased with the standard of our room. It was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated and the balcony was lovely, although some what hot in the afternoon! It was lovely to be ale to sit out there with a glass of wine in the evening though. The outdoor pool area was really nicely maintained and there were plenty of sun beds available. The staff were constantly tidying around the pool. The outdoor pool was a bit cold but was a lovely relief as the weather was baking hot.

Breakfast was really good and very plentiful and all the staff were really pleasant and friendly. We only ate in the restauarant twice in the evening as you were so close to all of the restaurants and shops, it was nice to be able to stroll out in the evening and explore St Helier. There is an excellent choice of restaurants all within a very short walk of the hotel. The evening menu was either a set buffet or an A La Carte, however we did feel that the restaurant lacked atmosphere in the evening.

Overall we really rated the hotel as it was excellently positioned, very clean and well maintained and excellent value for money compared with many of the hotels in Jersey. There were quite a few guests who had returned to holiday in the hotel which speaks volumes. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to return. An all round excellent experience

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the garden are much better as much quiter

Spent five nights here in early-mid July. Really friendly staff attend this hotel and nothing is too much for them. Rooms comfortable if a little old fashioned and cooling fans provided for hot weather. Beds are OK but shower is poor with little pressure and a struggle to find the right temperature. Nearly got scolded once. Otherwise the room was good. Swimming pools OK as well as hot spa which is excellent and comfortable. Had half board which was very good for breakfast and very nice for main meal might suggest a little more veg perhaps. Staff were excellent, attentive and helpful. Need to change the music with dinner though, same album played every night but this is very minor. Would definitely return here again hopefully for a week or so next year.

Room Tip: Try and get one where the shower is more powerful. Get one not on the pool side as you may have an issue with Seagulls on your balcony otherwise most rooms good..

Arrived early evening after long journey and having booked 11 months in advance thought nothing to do but get out of motorcycle gear, shower and out for a beer or two. Went to book in at reception only to be told they had no knowledge of our booking, we showed them our paperwork which proved we had a booking. After almost half an hour and the manager involved, bearing in mind we still had all our motorbike gear on and getting very warm, the receptionist said you will have to have room 126, the way she said it I was waiting for someone to jump out and say no not 126, anyway we bed down in 126 that night then we were shown 2 other rooms next day one in which we moved into.
As I said Good after a bad start, our second room at the back of the hotel was clean, spacious and very quiet at night. Breakfast was self service and I must say of the highest standard.
Would I stay there again, yes I think I would.

Room Tip: Not room 126

stayed for one week in mid June. The hotel is very well appointed with good facilities, the rooms are a little dated - if you are allergic to sapele doors and avacado bathroom suites then stay away! Rooms are cleaned every day and towels changed. Can't fault the evening meals and the breakfasts were excellent. staff were friendly and very helpful, special thankyou to the head waiter.

I booked this hotel but upon arriving decided NO.t to stay the general state of the hotel was poor simple things could of been implemented to improve the appearance of public areas such as cutting the grass round the pool area, mending stair trims, new garden furniture. The hotel lacks a modern personality and warmth.
Ideal for those on a budget brochure and online photos are NOT a true reflection of the hotel unless you view the photos taken by guests that show the flaws.
