Stayed here with my husband for 2 nights. Room number 229, which meant we had to walk through the indoor pool area to get to our rooms. The stench from the overuse of chlorine for the pool was sickening. The lift up to the rooms was so small, only two people max, could fit in it, or one larger person (no bags). Breakfast was ok, nothing flash, buffet style. Room was large and whilst very clean the noise from the third floor was terrible. You can hear people upstairs in their rooms talking and walking around. Overall i would rate this hotel as 2 1/2, it's just a bit tired and needs updating. Location was fine, but i think next time i would opt to spend more money to have an overall nicer hotel with a bit more happening in the bar area.

We had rooms overlooking the road and I can say the noise was terrible. We closed the windows on arrival even though the heat was unbearable (no air con), but the noise was still as bad. Saturday night we went with little or no sleep. So do ask for a room over looking the garden area. Rooms our small, but clean. The bathrooms could do with a major over haul. The shower was terrible. Plenty of variety for breakfast. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Look a room overlooking garden!

This is the third time I have stayed at the Apollo and will probably be my last! The hotel was far from full, in fact it seemed very quiet for the time of year. Despite this I was given a tiny room at the front of the hotel, which was so noisy I hardly slept all night! Public areas are fine, but the rooms are in desperate need of refreshing.

We decided to try the Channel Islands for a weeks holiday this year after seeing several hotels online we booked at the Apollo. On our arrival we were met by excellent staff who were friendly and most helpful, our cases were taken up to our room which was nice but perhaps somewhat dated. The bathroom certainly could do with updating as the shower was poor but saying that there was always lashings of hot water for a soak in the bath and the room was spotlessly clean and cleaned every day. The food was a very good standard and served by the most excellent and friendly waitress and restaurant manager many thanks guys for that you were faultless.
St Helier is a super town and just two minutes from the hotel you are on one of the main streets which are pedestrianised so great for walking shops are varied and interesting. The walk down to the sea front is easy back and forth as it is practically flat all the way.
Places of interest are many and the whole holiday was full of places to go and interesting things to see. We would certainly recommend this lovely Island even if just for a long weekend.

I stayed in the Apollo on 13th May 2014 for 5 nights. It's very conveniently located for the centre of St Helier. I'd booked a room with a balcony and was delighted with it. The bathroom was modern, the bed comfortable and the room spacious. The balcony was particularly appreciated as the weather was good and I was able to sit out there and was also able to sleep with the balcony door open. I was however surprised at the hotel's ban on smoking on the balcony. Breakfast was acceptable though the apparent attempt to reserve tables for other guests seemed strange as each morning I was guided to a table but a different one each day. Although I was a solo guest, it would have been nice to be able to sit near to other guests in my party. WiFi in the communal areas was a bit intermittent and slow and WiFi would have been appreciated in the room.

Room Tip: Room with a balcony overlooks the pool - very nice indeed.

Lovely hotel with some great staff. Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfy and all was cleaned every day. Breakfast was help yourself and the food was great, waiting staff were superb.

Pub next door and Italian restaurant are combined to hotel and nothing was to much trouble.

We could not fault this place.

Room Tip: Pool view is a must
