Bedrooms old-fashioned but clean. Great location, staff friendly, didn't have time to sample breakfast

We thought this was a very nice hotel, very clean the breakfasts were good, it was also very central to St Helier. You just stepped out of the door and you were 5 mins away from the High Street. There were also many lovely restaurants on your doorstep. The indoor pool was lovely, the water was warm and the lady attendant in there very helpful and pleasant, as were all the staff. We paid the middle price range, so couldn't comment on the cheaper version but we would certanly stay there again.

At £89 for a superior room with balcony and 3 course dinner for two I had to say I was sceptical. Arrived in Jersey around 10.00 and called hotel to be told it was no problem if we booked in early. Greeted by friendly receptionist and porter who took our bags to the room. Room was big, airy, clean with a massive bed and balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Restaurant manager and staff were great as was the young Irish girl on reception. Dinner excellent and Breakfast buffet style so you won't go hungry. Give this hotel a try if you want excellent value for money. If I had a critisism it would be other guests in adjoining rooms are clearly audible.

Booked for a few nights - mainly to see family. We got excellent service and lovely rooms. Very clean and quiet.
The breakfasts were really good and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
The bar was nice and the staff really friendly.
We enjoyed a swim in the indoor pool and the jacuzzi was great.

There have been mixed reviews about this hotel - but can honestly say I am unable to say anything negative apart from - not easy to access the hotel from the front if you are dropping anyone off at the entrance (the road is really busy and there is nowhere to pull in.) It would be advisable to get out in the car park.

The rooms in the hotel were a good size, if a little tired. The lift to our rooms on the third floor was only really a one person lift unless you were very thin!!
The facilities were very good but the pizza restaurant could do with an extractor fan as being next to the indoor pool it was very hot and stuffy.
The staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was excellent but the evening meal was very disappointing if you had the a la carte menu. £2.50 for a dish of frozen mixed veg - while the set menu had proper fresh veg. Also meals were luke warm. Only eat dinner if everything else is full (including McDonalds!)
Excellent location and value for money

Having read some of the reviews I was suprised to actually find the Apollo a very nice, if a little dated, comfortable hotel in a very good location just 5 minutes from the centre of St Helier.

The place is a little dated in certain areas and maybe the rooms could do with updating but it was very clean, very welcoming and have no complaints at all.

The breakfasts are superb and set you up for the day, full english, yohurts, fruits, juices, cereal, bread, croissants are all available and are very nice too.

Our room was to the back of the hotel facing the car park and didn't experience and noise problem from the nearby road or any of the rooms. Had 3 great nights sleep.

The position of the hotel is great, perfect for setting of room on foot or in the car. 5 min walk into town, under 10 mins to the harbour and only 15 mins in the car to the airport.

Didn't try the pizza place next door but enjoy a few pints in the boot and ball watching the football on sunday which was packed.

Would highly recommend this hotel would stay there again.

Stayed for a four night break and have nothing but praise for the staff who were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and well looked after. Both pools are well presented and staffed. The breakfasts were amazing and the whole experience was good value for the money.
