“Fantastic hotel and spa”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2011

Sent 2 nights at the hotel during the weekend. The hotel and spa where both great. Yes there is noise from outside but it didn't bother us. The night club downstairs was busy but never had to que to get in or at the bar. The staff are fine and the food was great (and plenty of it). Just wished we stayed for longer.

Unfortunately my flight was delayed for 2 nights at Gatwick due to fog in Jersey. However the hotel was amazing and the food in The Zephyr was top notch! Scallops mmmmmm yummy. I didn't have a probem with noise as some people have reported. Maybe I just did so much in my only four days instead of six as expected I just fell asleep straight away. Room was lovely and a little terrace outside to sit. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was sooooo nice and towels that were large and went all the way round! Just round the corner from the bus station so handy for trips out. Will come again and do the places I missed out and hope there is not a delay!!

Room Tip: I was in 215 and no noise

We went here after reading the reviews of other users. And we weren't disappointed. The hotel is clean and modern, the staff really friendly and helpful and the service is what you expect from a 4/5 star hotel. We ate in the Zephyr and Grill restaurants and the food in both was excellent. My only gripe was that our wine glasses were continually filled to the brim at the Zephyr - almost after every sip! Not sure whether this was over attentiveness or a cunning ruse to make us drink more.

But beware, while the hotel itself isn't noisy (there were 2 weddings and a 21st birthday party while we were there and we heard nothing from them in our room in the old part of the hotel) outside of the hotel is and there is no avoiding the fact. Silence doesn't seem to descend on St Hellier until 2 am over the weekends (including Sunday) and the noise from outside does come into the rooms regardless of the double glazing. So either go and party or invest in earplugs.

It's a shame really because this is a great hotel on the inside but there's not much management can do about the noise etc from other nearby pubs bars and dodgy karaoke.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in the old part of the hotel, at the back and as high up as possible

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights whilst on business.
Stayed in the Executive room which was spacious and very well equipped. A lot of thought has gone into the room and There are some very nice touches that make your stay feel that little more spacious especially the evening 'Turn Down' sevice that they give, a very english service!
The bathroom has its own quirky touches with a phone and speakers so that you can listen to the TV or a CD whilst you are in the shower!
I would reccomend using the swimming pool and spa facilities, the gym is very well equiped with state of the art equipment and was never overly busy when i used it in the mornings and evenings.
I never ate in any of the resteraunts as there are so many good value resteraunts near to the hotel.
The staff are extremely polite and courteous.
The only downside is that it can get extremely noisy in the evenings but the rooms have good double glazing which shuts out quite a lot of noise, try and get a room on the 3rd floor or above or even better an inward facing courtyard room if you want undisturbed sleep

Room Tip: Inner Court yard rooms advised if you want undisturbed sleep!

If you like really good service by very polite staff who are friendly and not at all stuffy then this is the hotel for you. There is everything you could want in the same hotel, at least 4 bars, 3 restaurants. The food was great. The hotel is perfect also for all ages with something or somewhere to suite all tastes. We have been here twice and can't wait to book again. The harbour front in St Helier can be very lively at weekends, especially Friday's and you are sometimes aware of some lively banter in the early hours outside the hotel but nothing serious.

Room Tip: If you like a bath then request it as some rooms have showers only and if you are an early sleeper g...

We had the penthouse, myself my husband and a 12 month old. Was little too cold to use the hot tub! But a lovely room! Food was fantastic and it's right in the centre!

We always stay here when we go to jersey to visit family.

The location: excellent, near the shops, restaurants and bus station!
Our room: we had a platinum room, very comfortable and large bed, lovely bathroom (shower cubicle and bath) with everything you need: large and soft towels, dressing gowns, slippers, toiletries, hair dryer... There were also a sitting area and a large balcony.
The facilities: excellent spa with large swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym and treatment room. Bars and restaurants, the food at the Sirocco was excellent.
The bonus: the staff, absolutely fantastic, every member of staff we met was pleasant and very helpful but I would like to mention particularly two of them : Arthur and Razvan. They were brilliant!
The only problem: the noise from the street and the bar just below us, we are light sleepers so we had to close the window.
We had a very enjoyable three night stay at the Royal Yacht.

Room Tip: If you go for a room with a view on the port, ask for a room on top floors to avoid noise from the b...
