“Great location excellent hotel”

Very nice hotel in a great location(right on the front near the harbour) although we did not dine in the hotel all the other amenities including the pool were excellent. Breakfast was spot on and the staff were very helpful. Would definately book this hotel again.

This little gem should not be missed. I have been eating here for 30 years or more and when the hotel a multi million pound renovation and extension this little grill/bar was left much as it was. The staff here are very helpful and friendly, the food is cooked to order on an open grill, and wine or champagne by the glass is readily available. My wife and I try to eat here at least every three weeks on a Friday night either by ourselves or with friends. Dont miss it!!

We stayed in a silver room which was excellent value. The very friendly reception staff were concerned that the bed was too small but it was fine. The spa and pool were excellent as were the room facilities. We ate in the grill room and the fillet steak was excellent. It is ideally placed for the town centre and parking was easy in the Pier car park and only a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. We also ate in the Zephyr bar and had the 5 for the price of 4 Tapas deal which was excellent food and we only just managed to finish them all. There was quite a bit of street noise until late so you may want to have a room away from the road.

Everything about our stay here was just wonderful. Our stay was only for 3 nights so the central location was just perfect. The hotel staff were all found to be attentive but not too overpowering. The breakfast was one of the best buffet breakfasts we have had. We sampled lunch in the cafe bar which was slightly pricey but excellent food and service. On our last night we had been out most of the day and decided to eat in the main restaurant rather than going out and about. We weren't disappointed. Delicious food and attentive service. The spa was also good, my only slight critisism was that the jacuzzi was too cold and not a set up that you'd want to relax in for more than 2 mins. Having experienced treatments here too I would highly recommend it. Our room was clean bright and and spacious. Staying on the 4th floor we had no trouble with noise which had been a concern of ours before we stayed. We can't wait to visit again!

Stayed here for 4 nights in July.
The hotels star attraction is most certainly the food and serving staff. It was so good we ate at the hotel every evening! Breakfast was included in the room rate, fab choice, definately something for everyone.
The hotel rooms are very comfortable and modern with a nice bathroom, good shower.
The spa facilities are good, however I would recomend you book in advance as there were limited spaces.
Overall a great choice,central location.

Room Tip: Smokers-you only have a chance of a room with a balcony if its a double room, all twins have NO balco...

This hotel is well located near the harbour and marina, convienent to bus station and town restaurants, although it has more of a business feel during the week.. The rooms are large clean and comfortable with many having a terrace or balcony. Heated underfloor tiles in the bathroom a plus. Staff are friendly and helpful. We ate at two of the restaurants (not the Sirocco the fine dining restaurants) and the food was good if expensive. Because of its location in town be prepared for a lot of noise on Friday and Saturday nights. We were not on the street side but when the balcony door was open it was pretty loud. But for a relaxing weekend, it was fine.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the front of the hotel

We have just returned from a 2 day break to Jersey which was a prize win and it included a 2 day B&B stay at The Royal Yacht Hotel in a Gold Double Room.

First impressions were favourable due to the warm welcome from the understandably International team on reception who got me sorted with car parking scratch cards before I had even checked in. I don't think we have ever had a more compehensive brief to start with, from a full explanation of the hotel, it's ammenities and phone issues to where to get the car parking cards from if they run out of them.

The room was clean and tidy, if a little clammy but that was due to the weather and was sorted when the A/C was put on. Everything you needed is in the room including a good hairdryer for the wife!

I always judge a hotel on it's breakfast and this place is up there with the best of them, something for everyone and superb quality. We didn't eat any main meals in the resturants but they were always busy, especially the one on the ground floor which must be a good sign although looking at the menu, it did seem a little expensive.

Friday night was noisy due to the night club in the hotel but apart from that it was a nice comfortble stay.

If you are there on a Tuesday or Thursday night, go 50 yards round the corner to The Lamplighters pub, a great real ale venue and those 2 nights are steak nights, you will not be able to move after eating there!

Room Tip: Rooms in the old (left) of the hotel can be noisy when the night club is in full swing.
