“Modern St Helier hotel with wide range of facilities”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

One night stay re a business trip and a first time stay at the Royal Yacht. This is a well appointed hotel for both leisure and business stays in the centre of St Helier.

Choice of restaurants, bars and a nightclub together with spa facilities. Room was really nice with a comfortable bed/choice of pillows and a really good sleep.

Both checkin and check out was swift and efficient. Will look to stay longer next time.

Bustling hotel in St. Helier, lovely & lively, but still relaxed, warm and welcoming. Great central location, and good views from our front of hotel balcony. We are keen walkers, and found it very convenient to use the efficient public bus, with really good links and regular services. We made very good use of the pool, sauna and jacuzzi, the staff in the spa were very welcoming. We had a lovely wedding anniversary meal in the Scirocco restaurant, delicious food and attentive service. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel was very nice, our room was in the old part of the hotel on the 4th floor. We were not therefore disturbed by the noise at the front of the hotel, but unfortunately the windows of our room were ill fitting. The noise from recycling the bottles was frequent and loud, we realised this was due to the space around the windows when the wind caused our curtains to blow with quite a force. The internet connection left a lot to be desired as this was spasmodic. The computer for the use of guests in the Lazy Fox Lounge was not working either. However, on a positive note the food and service was brilliant. The choice for breakfast was very good and that you were offered the choice of sitting inside or outside on the balcony was lovely. The staff were very friendly

We stay here on the hanky panky package which as great . It included a gold room with a terrace which as lovely as we could sit out in our gowns and drink our champagne that was included in the price, also chocs amd knibbles. The thing we dint get was our petal turn down of our bed but hay ho it didnt spiol the weekend. we stayed an extra night at a reduced rate because we have a package deal,so ask!! Breakfast was great the meal in Sorroccos was excellent and cream tea we had in the bar was good also. Spa treament was excellent and the service overall was good.
The hotel is ideal to get about from as it is near the bus station so you dont have to get taxis if you dont want to. We no doubt will return in the future

First time in Jersey and was unsure which hotel to book, well not disappointed.
Went for the not too expensive but a bit of class and we as a couple were very happy with the service. Any request was dealt with accordingly, yes the more you spend the more critical your opinion becomes but this hotel was spot on.

All the staff were polite, spot on breakfast as was the food in the many bars in the hotel, did go to the a al carte one evening not our cup of tea but we can tick that experience off the to do list as the service was excellent.

The only advise I give if you fancy this hotel book early as the price goes up something stupid.

Room Tip: We booked a room with a balcony and it was ample for two people.

We have stayed in the Royal Yacht four times in recent years and are never disappointed. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurants are excellent. Do not be put off by the busy ground floor bar--the service is still good along with a varied menu suited to all tastes. The main restaurant is good, the gazpachio was fab, a really great flavour. The spa is very clean and well run. It is a brilliant place to go after a long walk on the coastal path. We stay in a platinum room so could sit on the balcony with a view of the world going by and sunshine all day--it was last week. If you like a hotel with plenty going on and good service this is the place to saty in Jersey.

Room Tip: Pay for the platinum rooms

A beautiful hotel so clean and the staff are friendly and helpful the location was excellent and close to the bus terminal and town .Breakfast on the terrace was most enjoyable the only small negative was the scallops in the Grill resturant were small and cooked on the same grill as the steak so lost flavour, but I have to say the steak was delicious.
Definately one to return to thankyou for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: we asked for a quiet room due to a disco being located in the hotel which we got and had a lovely fe...
