my husband and I have recently stayed at this hotel. the room was as expected for the price paid cleaning of room changed with the day. quite noisy at night but it was happy noise (people having a few drinks after work and enjoying themselves. the staff couldn't have been more helpful. and the location was very good. a little expensive for food and drink but great for a treat.

Room Tip: we had a room on the fourth floor which helped with noise from outside bar and nightclub till 2

This is a beautifully appointed hotel, with courteously efficient and friendly staff. It is a busy hotel, regularly full and therefore early check in or late check out are not an option. There is a rigid check in at 14:00 and check out at 12:00 policy. Checking with housekeeping to see if your room is ready early is not what they do.

I had a Gold Deluxe Room, side facing view of the harbour with balcony, beautiful room, lovely bathroom, great spacious balcony. Careful though, don't leave your balcony door open if you are not in the room because there is a gap in the railing and access from other balconies.

During my stay there was a fun fair set up outside and you could hear the music until around 11 and the funfair staff until they had packed up... But close the balcony door and you can't hear a thing.

Breakfast was excellent, in the Scirocco Restaurant, outside overlooking the harbour. All self service, but very nicely done.

Also had dinner in the Scirocco. I reserved a table a couple hours ahead of dining asked for an outside table... I was firmly told this could not be guaranteed... As it turned out the restaurant was not busy and plenty of tables inside and out. I dined with a colleague and we had the table d'hôte menu - very nice, good value, beautifully presented. The staff explained each course as it was presented which was a very nice touch.

The hotel has a few restaurants, bars and lounges - all very nice with friendly staff. I also used room service twice which was very efficient.

The Royal Yacht has one of the best quality hotel gym, pool, spa arrangements that I have used. It is absolutely first class. I used the gym and swam every morning and evening during my stay. It was disappointing that on check out (at 12:00) I asked if I could use the pool to freshen up and change before travelling at around 3pm when I collected my luggage and was given a very firm 'no you may not'! Very much a case of you have paid your bill now sod off!

Would I stay there again? Yes I would. If you are looking for flexibility and the extra mile, this is not the hotel for you, but even so it is a very nice hotel.

Room Tip: Side room with balcony in the newer part of the hotel

A one night stay ( at considerable expense). Uncomfortable bed in tiny room with neighbours snoring load and clear. It was the hottest day of the year so asked for another bottle of water. Reception insisted that only one was complimentary so wanted to charge through the nose for another - instead got one from the kebab shop over the road.Little things...

Do quite a lot of business in Jersey and will never go there again.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Great location for restaurants, shops, lovely walks, public transport etc. hotel was really nice, comfortable rooms, nice toiletries, coffee, tea making facilities. Our room was on the 3rd floor (329) overlooking other rooms so not much of a view, however our friends were staying on the 4th floor (428) at the front of the hotel and found it very noisy, so much preferred ours. The staff at this hotel are really nice, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, giving advise on where to eat, public transport, and making reservations etc. the restaurant staff at breakfast were also lovely, great breakfast plenty of choice. We did not eat dinner at hotel so cannot comment but there are some excellent restaurants nearby. Had a fab time here and would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room

A great setting to enjoy St Hellier.

Rooms are modern and spacious but watch out for ones overlooking the lively outside bar in summer if you need an early night.

Breakfast is first class and plenty of other meal choice too.

Spa lacks natural light but is well equipped
