This was our 3rd visit to this hotel - great location in the centre of Jersey - easy access to the main shopping area. As a visitor easy to book island tours from hotel reception. Staff very friendly and helpful and rooms well looked after. Food is well presented and dining staff incredibly hardworking and efficient. Look forward to returning to this hotel.

I have never been to a place with such 1st class pleasant service. It was a pleasure. You were made to feel so much at home. No option on food was a problem and the choice was very good.
The room we had was spacious and warm.

Room Tip: Perhaps not near a smoking area as with windows open you hear a bit of noise.

just returned from my 7th visit to the Metropole Hotel, cant praise this hotel highly enough. Staff are always pleasant, helpful and polite, service in the resturant was excellent, my granddaughter suffers from a food allergy and our waiter ,Manuel, always made sure she had whatever she wanted to eat, he is a credit to the hotel. housekeeping staff are also very good, rooms always cleaned to a very high standard, My family cant wait to return.

This was our second trip to Jersey and we selected the Metropole after looking at reviews on Tripadvisor. The hotel is convenient for St Helier Town Centre, which is only a few minutes' walk away, and is even closer to one of our favourite restaurants - the Roseville Bistro.

The taxi from the airport takes about 20-30 minutes (more when arriving during the day because of the traffic jams) and costs about £18-£20. The bus is cheaper (£1.80 single) but the walk from Liberation Station with suitcases makes that less attractive. Buses are fine for getting around the island, though - we didn't find it necessary to hire a car.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast fairly good - a kipper for no extra charge is a plus. We visit Jersey partly for the food, so planned to eat out on most nights but we had dinner in the hotel on the first night. The set menu was ok but not exceptional, but then we didn't expect it to be. The hotel offers an a la carte menu which looked good, but we had too many other restaurants to choose from so we didn't try that.

The only problem with the room was the need to stuff the windows with paper to stop them rattling when the wind was blowing. Otherwise, a comfortable bed and a good night's sleep.

The indoor pool is warm and useful for a swim (the weather was not hot enough for the outdoor pool this week) but it isn't large - we had it to ourselves a couple of times. There is some entertainment on most nights - bingo followed by a singer, which went down well with the older guests. There were plenty of retired people there (yes, us included) but several families as well once we got into the school holiday week. All very civilised and we would be happy to go back there again.

We stayed here whilst visiting family and friends. Booked along with a flight from BA and was excellent value. Its a bit of a trek to find some of the rooms but the room was spacious and VERY clean. The bathroom had obviously recently been refurbished and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good and the waiting staff friendly and helpful. All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and very helpful. We have this on our list of places to stay in Jersey.

Stayed at the metropole as part of a five night break in St Helier. The hotel is located right in the middle of town within walking distance to bars, shops and eating places. Only 10 minutes walk to harbour and sea front. The hotel itself appears to have been recently refurbished and the bedrooms were of a good size and well appointed. The hotel was very clean and the staff were great and we had no complaints with our stay. The leisure facilities were good and entertainment was reasonable albeit not for the younger traveller. All in all we had a very good experience at the metropole and would not hesitate to recommend it if you are looking for value for money

When visiting Jersey my family and i booked in to the Hotel Metropole. The establishment and the staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The facilities available were well kept and clean and nothing could spoil our trip, not even the two old ladies above us who appeared to be tap dancing in cloggs.
