“Great for touring Jersey”

We stayed for 1 week in July, We hired a car which we used all day & parked it overnight( free 5pm -8am) in the car park 5 mins away , We purchased a book of parking tickets & left 1 each eve on the dashboard so we were covered until after breakfast. The double room we had at the front of the house had a very comfortable bed & a good shower with plenty of hot water. The guest house was ideally located for the town 10 mins walk away & the beach 2 mins walk, also a handy shop 1 min walk away,There are many places locally to eat & drink. Sophia who served breakfast & did our room was friendly & efficient,Had a lovely peaceful week. Thank you.

Spent a very pleasant few days with our son and daughter in law staying at the La Bonne Vie, arrived early from airport and were able to use one of the rooms to put our cases in .
Pleasant reception, rooms were reasonably sized and clean, good en suites.
The breakfast was a little on the basic side, but the service was excellent, the single waitress was very helpful.
Our sons room was in the attic on the front of the house and was very very hot (mostly the weathers fault) and with the window open a bit on the noisy side, so if possible ask for a lower or back room.
The Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but did work.
The house is well situated for the beach & public Lido and is a pleasant walk to the town for the shops and restaurants.
All in all a very acceptable pleasant first time in Jersey and would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Do not have the attic room at the front of the house

This was nice enough for our short break and very close to the public swimming area and beach. The breakfast was good but the service was slow as the poor girl was rushed off her feet on her own! The staff were nice and helpful but I can't understand why this has been given 4 stars, I think it should be more like 2. Our room was OK but the shower wasn't very good and the shower door didn't shut properly. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: We walked from the bus station in St Helier (number 15 bus), not too bad but wouldn't recommend...

Well-located, reasonably priced, a very nice hostess, cosy and clean room.
The breakfast could be better though. It's not exactly what you could expect from a british guest house. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Good welcome and departure, however, hospitality or personal touch not present on this occasion! Breakfast: basic economy, choice of three cereals, multi pack £1 yoghurt and no continental option. Half slice white and half a slice of brown toast per person. Waitress very pleasant and polite but clearly very busy when all six tables were occupied! Rooms need updating, carpets are not hoovered every day. Towels were changed daily, toiletries not replaced. Shower very difficult to mix, either too hot or too cold. Only three tea bags and three milk pods each day. Only two TV channels. There is no free parking between 8 and 5, nearest car park is a ten minute walk away, not ideal if you have a disability.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room

Positives
good welcome and departure , service at breakfast good by staff member really cheerfull tried her best and polite ,breakfast room, lounge, hallways well decorated.clean towels every day
Negatives
Rooms needed to be updated , carpets need to be cleaned or replaced , portion control at breakfast 3 cereals choices from communal bowls , yoghurts , banana's and a range of cooked foods.
Nothing of quality offered economy basic food stuffs price on yoghurts multi pack £1 plus breakfast served on tea plate half slice white toast half slice brown toast per person, pre package strawberry jam only preserve on offer one bottle HP sauce for the 6 tables ,you could ask for more but didnt feel comfortable doing so waitress did try to refill toast with another slice each but the small breakfast meant you were over and done to quickly, In room 3 tea bags per day 3 milk again portion control toiletries not replenished very eveident im sure you get my drift .There is no free parking between 8 to 5 you have to pay so breakfast costs every day you want to be eating past 8 am or wish to return to your room before 5 pm, hospitality in short supply

Room Tip: try to see if one had been renovated with a shower which has a good temp control

Myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights for a short break in Jersey.
The guesthouse has a very welcoming, homely feeling.
The room was lovely, the only downside was that the towels we had were stained with something that looked like food.
The location is excellent with only a short walk to shops, restaurants and beach.
Breakfast in the guesthouse was very nice, with a range to choose from.
