We have just returned from our fourth visit to The Westhill and hope to return again. I travel with my mum who is in her 80's and we had a lovely time. We have single rooms and this is the first time we were put in "real" single rooms which we found a little small as we were given small doubles before and just expected that this was the norm. Having said that this is the only gripe as the rooms were perfectly adequate the lovely views over the stunning gardens and pool.
The staff make this hotel we were served by Carlos is the restaurant who was just lovely to my mum and his oppo Fabio was equally as nice. I asked for a table just for the 2 of us and this was immediately accommodated by the charming restaurant manager who has been here every time we have stayed. The brothers (owners) were very hands on as were their sons (it was half term) together with Lena, Kerry and the lovely Sofia. Together of course with the 2 gorgeous four legged friends who were uber friendly.
The bars and public areas were spacious and the gardens are spectacular with plenty of outdoor furniture. The pool was well used by the younger guests and there is a large smaller pool for the non swimming children with a hot tub to one side.
The food was fabulous, I cannot understand anybody who had any problems, three courses followed by a couple of cups of coffee is perfectly acceptable.
The entertainment was good, the singer/guitarist on the Wednesday was fabulous, one of the best I've seen.
The courtesy bus was a godsend and makes the fact that the hotel is just outside St Helier centre no problem at all.
This hotel should be at least a three star and I would recommend it to all ages, particularly families with children and couple of all ages.

Room Tip: The rooms over looking the pool and gardens have the stunning views.

Just returned from our first visit to Jersey where we stayed at the Westhill. We were very impressed by the standard at this hotel. The welcome received and the service from all staff was excellent. The standard of cleanliness, restaurant and food service was of a very high standard. Although the hotel is a little out of town, the hotel did offer a courtesy bus service, but for those wishing to walk it is downhill and a little challenging on the way back. We will certainly be returning to the Westill on our next visit to the island

This hotel is extremely well run, it is neat and tidy with pleasant furnishings and decor. Photos on the walls give a feeling of enhancement.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a courtesy bus into St Helier every morning, returning later in the day at two different times.
The house keeping is very good and the meals are presented with good portions, varying choices and excellent waiters.Carlos being our waiter.
I can recommend this hotel set in wonderful grounds with swimming pools and plenty of car parking

We stayed here for a week with several other family members to celebrate a birthday and had a very enjoyable stay. Arrived with a car by ferry and the hotel was only 5/10 minutes drive from the ferry terminal and easy to find.

The pools are great for a warm day with the main pool, a smaller infants pool and a hot tub. Towels were always available near the pool as were a number of loungers and pool inflatibles. The grounds also had many tables and chairs which provided ample seating. The bar next to these was mostly open duing the day serving drinks although hot drinks and snacks could also be ordered from the bar inside the hotel.

Nice walks through the grounds which were very well presented and looked after. A few play areas and animals which our daughter enjoyed although the hot tub and pool seemed to be the biggest draw.

Rooms were quite spacious, clean and tidy and fine for all we needed. We had a couple of minor issues on the room (bulb gone etc) but these were fixed very promptly.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was quite a good selection for breakfast and evening meal considering the size of the hotel and of a high quality. The bar had a good range of drinks (I prefer bitter to lager but they did stock some bitters in bottle form). Entertainment was hit and miss as most hotel entertainment generally is in trying to cater for various tastes.

Easy reach to everywhere in Jersey by car although with Jersey being so compact, that would probably be the case staying anywhere in Jersey!

All in all a very well run hotel with efficient and pleasant staff and good facilities. Felt very relaxed there and we all very much enjoyed an excellent family holiday.

This hotel is just outside St.Helier and is set in pleasant grounds.
Unfortunately the bedroom facilities let the hotel down. The decor is drab and depressing.Mattresses were old and uncomfortable, smallest televisions ever seen in a hotel and generally everything was outdated.
There is no lift so rooms were a fair climb up steep steps.
Breakfast was a surprise and was excellent with super service from the Polish lady Gina and manager.
Hotel owners dogs were lovely.
We would only stay again if the bedrooms were greatly improved.

Recently returned from our holiday at the Westhill and we’ll definitely be going back next year. The service and quality was excellent and deserving of the highest praise and far exceeds that expected of a two star hotel. From arrival to departure we found that everything was covered and nothing left to chance and staff were always on hand to assist when needed. Reception, restaurant staff, bar staff and room maids were all polite and courteous. The food was superb with a good choice at every meal. Entertainment was good and very enjoyable of an evening.

Well done Matthew, Lena and Jonathan as you have assembled a set of staff which do the hotel proud and it helps to enhance the reputation and make a return visit certain for next year.
