First impressions after finding the place(signing off the main Queens Road would help!!)
werent bad beautiful grounds, plenty of parking, quiet location and well kept building on the outside.
It was when we went inside that the dissapointments started. A customer arguing with receptionist so we had to wait to check in, no greeting just pay up front!
No lift so the cases had to be lugged upstairs to the 2nd floor by a helpful young lad who complained about their weight (22kg) so no tip !!
The inside of the hotel resembled a nursing home without scooters and zimmer frames!!
Badly in need of modernising, the room (16) was no better although it was perfectly clean the bathroom needed a complete re-fit, who puts the loo roll holder inside the over bath shower curtain? An old mirror and light above the basin was not high enough, had to crouch to shave (I'm 5'10") no extractor surely building regs require them, and plumbing that sang to you !!! No tissues anywhere or notepads.
The restaurant agan lacked any character although the food was passable there was no choice for breakfast other than the cold buffet and full english, no kippers, omeletes, etc.
For the price of £123 for B&B it was not value for money, weve stayed at loads of different hotels in Jersey over the past 20+ years and this is by far the worst so far.

Room Tip: ask if theyve updated any of them before booking

It’s been about 18 months since my last visit to this hotel and yet every member of staff remembered my name - that’s a feature of this hotel that money just can’t buy - the personal touch.

Since my last visit the hotel has fitted a dance floor and new entertainment to work alongside their regular artistes.

The cleaning staff are in a class of their own. Rooms spotless and cleaned whilst your eating breakfast. You are never inconvenienced by them - just wonderful.

The restaurant- overseen by Nello - is top class. Service and food worthy of 5 stars.

Gardens and pool are some of the best I’ve seen in any hotel. It’s great to relax by the pool in the afternoon and top up your tan in this idyllic sun trap.

Again this hotel is one that a simple review cannot do it justice. You have to stay here to discover the magic of the Westhill

Visited last week and will go again .Accommodation spotless and grounds and pool really well maintained . Staff are efficient and friendly . A mini bus service provides transport into St.Helier and the public transport is plentiful and easy to use . We loved the hotel dogs , Bella and Monty and enjoyed looking at the birds in the aviaries every day . Thanks everyone !

Have just had a wonderful 5 days in this hotel. Everyone so helpful, the food excellent
& my single room was very spacious.
The gardens are very well kept. Loved the aviary & a treat to see the red squirrels.

Room Tip: My room was over the garden & was very quiet

Yes the rooms may be basic (and it felt a bit odd having the sink in the bedroom rather than in the shower room/wc) but they are clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very efficient and the service impeccable. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
