“another enoyable stay at the Norfolk Lodge”
Reviewed 29 August 2010

This is the fourth year we have stayed at this hotel with our two teenage daughters.
One of the nicest things about going back each year is that most of the staff are the same people we have got to know previously. The manager Fernando deCastro and his assistant Beatrice are two of the most helpful people you could ever meet and no request is a problem for them. Our request for a duvet in our room was acted upon within a day - it gave the room a totally different appearance..
The food in the hotel is of a very high standard and the breakfast and evening menus offer a good selection . I would of preferred the evening menu to change fortnightly rather than weekly .
The evening entertainment did not cater for children / teenagers very much , but if you do visit the hotel and its bingo with Mr deCastro it is an evening not to be missed !!!

We have already booked for next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Norfolk lodge hotel in St Helier Jersey. It is roughly 10 minutes walk from the centre that has a good variety of shops, lots jewelery shops.
The food was good and varied, all the staff were very helpful at all times, the manager was exceptional and humourous with all ages. There was entertainment on weekday nights consisting of discos and singers, but the magician needed a few lessons.
We would come again. : )

Stayed for a week and unable to fault the Management and staff who went out of their way to make the visit a very relaxing and happy one. Nothing was too much trouble and they always greeted one politely and were always cheerful. Food was excellent - great choice and good portions - breakfast and evening meal. Room was comfortable and very clean - single - and enough for a holiday stay. Deserves more than its two star status. Thanks to all for making the stay such a pleasant experience.

Warm welcome, good quality service, the swimming pool has been highly appreciated as well as the breakfast. Rooms are comfortable, management and staff work appreciated too. We appreciate the location, not too far from the town center reachable by foot.

Me and mum stayed H/B, couldn't fault meals, Breaky-cereal, toast, fruit, fry. Evening meal was 3 course, choice of 3 for each course & salad bar. Generous portions. Room was standard size, cleaned every morning, beds comfy, no air-con but coped ok. Bar area had plenty of seats, balcony area, small lounge and library also available. Went to pool about 4pm ish, not too busy, clean. All staff encountered friendly and helpful.Lots of 'returnees' there, good range of ages(play-room available for kids).
15min walk into town, lots of different streets to take so you could vary your route, 1 bus available but it took longer(nearly 1/2hr) as it went the opposite way first! Didn't hire a car or take any organised tours, felt expensive as didn't include admission to facilities. walked to main bus station, lots of buses to everywhere, easy to understand timetable.
Took taxi to airport, £13, takes 15/20mins. Relaxing Break.
