Very impressed on arrival, lovely friendly girl at check-in. Everywhere was spotless including our room which was cleaned daily along with fresh towels each day. Food was fantastic with plenty of choices, something to suit everyone. Nicholas, our waiter, was so nice and friendly, couldn't do enough for us, nothing was a bother to him. Although we were only B&B, we had dinner three nights in the hotel as the food was so good. Entertainment was provided nightly which we did enjoy. Lovely new coffee shop also in the hotel offering snacks as well as coffees. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, tours could also be booked at reception. We ate out some evenings and would thoroughly recommend Halketts, Cock & Bottle and a brilliant Italian restaurant, Romanos. Ladies toilets in Halketts has to be seen, hair dryers and straighteners on wall, television screen, flame effect fire and chaise longue!!

My husband and I, our son and daughter in law stayed here for my husbands 60th birthday surprise. It is a beautiful hotel with fabulous facilities. Breakfast was hot and well presented and the staff were very helpful and friendly (except the bar staff who always looked as though they did not want to be there!)
The waiter in the dining room was lovely...
The swimming pool is great , we went before breakfast and it is really refreshing. The gym looked good (I dont do excercise !! lol)

Room Tip: Both suites and rooms are immaculate.

I stayed in Jersey for a week during June. The hotel is ideally situated and is a 5 minute walk from the shopping centre and Howard Davis Park where they have free entertainment on in the evening for around an hour, such as pipe bands, dancing etc The hotel, I found to be very clean, everywhere was spotless. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The meals were of a good standard and choice was varied covering the majority of tastes and diets. You are required to sit at the same table for all your meals which is allocated on your first visit to the dining room. Nicholas, our waiter for the week was incredibly efficient and we never waited for anything. He was always happy and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel pool is well worth a visit and this is accompanied with the steam room and jacuzzi. I didn't actually use the gym but it looked to be very well equipped. Our bedroom was spacious and again was spotless. The hotel provides free use of their computers which are situated in the foyer. The only problem during my stay was that my mobile phone didn't automatically change to the Jersey network and you have to use your manual roam on your phone to pick up their network. I didn't do this but anyone who struggled went to the jersey telecom shop in the centre and they were happy to help. The entertainment in the hotel wasn't mindblowing but pleasant, with bingo each evening and visiting acts such as singers or a comedy magician (who was very good!) I fully recommend the hotel and would definately stay there again! Ps If you go on any of the organised coach trips with waverley coaches, the tour guide Joe is an absolute hoot and told us all about the island in a fun an interesting way.

This was our third stay at the Mayfair and it was as good as ever, excellent value. We've always considered the 4 course dinner to be particularly good, and this year we thought the food was better than ever, unpretentious but well cooked, appetising and plentiful. Our only wish is that they would adopt duvets, blankets and sheets are a bit archaic in this day and age. New pillows would be nice too. Overall, this is a well run hotel which represents excellent value for money and is conveniently located, just far enough away from the extremely noisy at night, centre of St.Helier. We shall go there again.
