We chose this hotel as a means to meet up with London friends. The great benefit for us was we were able to fly direct from Dundee and at that time the hotel was offering dinner in addition to B&B at no extra cost The dinners were of an excellent standard and consisted of 4 courses plus coffee. We were all amazed at the fact that although the dining rooms consisted of approx 500/600 diners it was all table service with no manic waiters running around to try and keep up, such as we experienced at a 5* star hotel in Tenerife during Feb.2014 and that hotel was self service buffet. It really proved that with trained staff and good organisation mealtime can be enjoyably relaxing. As mentioned below a suite is good value.
There was entertainment provided but a comment I would make is that this should be restricted to hotel residents only. Each evening apart from one a certain crowd came in and they would generally monopolise the dance floor in the lounge. They generally moved tables about to suit the size of the company and many hotel guests felt they were intruding upon them instead of the other way round.
That is the only negative I would point out as all staff and experiences we encountered were excellent. When returning to Jersey our first hotel choice would be the Mayfair.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a suite as they are excellent value. Don't look for a sea view as the hotel wh...

What a wonderful hotel my room was rxcellent and the staff could not do enough all so helpful
this hotel is classed as a 3 star but I would class it as a 4 star easily. Very easy quick access to the town centre and the beach. The food was soooo good and the service fantastic. This hotel also contains it's own coffee shop so if you return from a trip early getting a decent coffee was easy. I would recommend this hotel without a second thought and plan to return.

Room Tip: ask for room 202 it has a wet room and looks over the front of the hotel this has a double bed very...

our room was very quiet as we backed onto the flat roof in centre of hotel. The bed was quiet soft but comfortable. Waiter was excellent and we always enjoyed the choices for the set menu making it good value meal. Good parking although the spaces are a bit tight. The room got a bit too hot but a fan was supplied which helped for a comfortable nights sleep.

We requested a disabled access room. We never got allocated a walk in shower and a room with walk in could not be sourced. Reception were friendly and helpful but it was what it was. Beware to specify if you are in a wheelchair. Changing rooms for indoor pool are up a number of stairs too without lift access. The room accommodated a wheelchair so mother had to wash rather than shower, we were only on a short trip so got on with it. Everywhere is clean and moderately up to date. This is a pleasant but slightly dated hotel best suited to pensioners (who can manage a few stairs). Food is hot and fresh and they are amenable to tweaks like poached egg instead of fried on breakfast etc. the entertainment is not broadway but you can while away the hours if you have nothing better to do. Nice couches within wifi zone to sit and touch base with the world, well staffed and equipped gym. 5-10 minute stroll to the centre of st helier, the market and lots of shops. Overall a pleasant if a little dated base.

A very big hotel but reasonably quiet and efficiently and smoothly run. Staff at all levels were extremely helpful and always pleasant. Menus were unadventurous and short but food was always fresh and well-cooked with good sized helpings. Breakfast was particularly good with lots of fresh fruit as well as cereals, yogurt, tinned fruit, ham, cheese, croissants, toast and a good variety of cooked items. Service was always excellent. Rooms were spacious and warm with heating that could be adjusted. Those rooms with locks and keys as opposed to card keys seemed to pose problems of access as several of the locks seemed to be somewhat unstable. The absence of wi-fi in the rooms was a definite disadvantage. The gym looked to be a reasonable size; the pool was small and far too warm which meant it was not refreshing and probably not too hygienic. The lady's changing room was small and on the day I used it, very wet under foot so that I slipped and fell. Towels were provided but we're of poor quality-thin and worn. A coffee bar was pleasantly decorated and supplied a reasonable choice of snacks all day. The bar was comfortable and seemed reasonably well stocked. Service everywhere was efficient and pleasant.

Breakfast were good, evening meals were so so. Good value for money. Staff work hard.
Peter (barman) is lovely and so was Victor the waiter.

I would go again and Jersey is so nice. The price of drinks was reasonable and the entertainment was good.

The bed was very hard!

We flew to Jersey from Gatwick airport, staying at the Mayfair Hotel. The hotel is in a convenient position to walk to the centre of town and to also walk to St Aubin's Bay. Our room was comfortable with a modern bathroom. The dining room was spacious and the food was good. The only drawback was a traffic noise from the street below. We would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from traffic noise.
