Whilst the hotel's decor is a little faded, all other aspects of the hotel made a memorable stay for my wife and myself. Any slight problems were rectified immediately and the staff were so attentive and so helpful - we include all staff in this from chambermaids to reception, dining room and all those we came across during our week in the hotel. Of course we must not forget the manager and his assistant.

Food was excellent and always a good choice on the menu. At our advancing age we found that breakfast was too much, but this is a good fault as one can take as much or as little as required

For a relaxing time we can thoroughly recommend the hotel and St Helier's facilities are a short bus ride away.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the sea are pleasant

The hotel decor is a little dated but that doesn't stop it being a lovely place to stop. Staff are friendly and will do anything they can to make your stay ideal. Our room was small but sufficient, with a view of the bay and the amazing tidal range - a 36 foot difference last week! Breakfast is a buffet type with a selection of continental and/or English food. Unfortunately the cooked breakfasts were only warm, every day, but that is similar in many hotels. The evening meal we tried was ok, served within 2 minutes of ordering, so had obviously been cooked and kept warm. We then preferred to eat out. If going to Jersey and not hiring a car try the Bus rover tickets, a five day one costs about £24 and allows use of all bus routes and you can get on and off whenever you want.

Room Tip: Some floorboards are very squeaky but staying in a 2nd floor room means you don't hear them.

Me and my husband have stayed here a few times now and everytime has been excellent, we decided to come this year with our friends and as always we had a brilliant stay as soon as we walked into the hotel we were met by a friendly face Philip heron the manager who instantly recognised us which was lovely, We had room 18 a fantastic room looking straight out to the sea it was nice to wake up in the morning and hear the waves crashing.

Breakfast is really good there is a wide selection of hot food in a buffet style and a good choice of cereals fruit etc.

Overall this hotel is a fantastic place to stay all the staff are friendly and so helpful they cant do enough for you to make sure you have a great stay, I would recommend this hotel to anybody and we will certainly be back next year.

This was our second visit to this hotel and from the moment we arrived the member of staff on reception remembered us from the previous year which was lovely. We received a warm welcome and were promptly checked into our room. On entering our room we had been left a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine with the message ‘’Welcome back management and staff’’. This was such a lovely surprise and a professional touch. The hotel itself was located in a quiet part of St Helier directly on the seafront, it only took us about 10 minutes to walk to the city centre. Our room was clean, with good quality sheets and linen. The food at the hotel was of great quality and professionally served. While staying at the hotel we used the indoor pool which was of a good size. While at the hotel we spoke to many guests particularly those that had come on a coach from the UK, and we were all wondering why this hotel is not open at Christmas! It would make such a lovely setting for the Christmas and New Year Period! Surly the owners must see the potential!

We had a wonderful holiday in Jersey and we will be returning to hotel again next year. If you are looking for a hotel that provides good quality accommodation, excellent food, professional service and that family feel hotel then this is the place to stay. 10/10 every time.

This was our first trip to Jersey and was an all round good experience. The hotel was excellent, right from our arrival, all the staff , Philip the General Manager in particular, were informative and helpful. The hotel was very well kept, and although parts were a little dated and tired, rooms were spacious and beds clean and comfortable. The food available at breakfast was of excellent quality, as were the evenings meals. Lucien in the dining room was always ready with a smile which made dining a pleasurable experience. The location of the hotel was ideal, near enough to walk in to town, but with a regular bus service right outside the front door. We would definately recommend this hotel and will stay there again on our next visit to Jersey.

A short but relaxing break - just returned after spending 4 nights at this hotel, the hotel was in a superb location with nice little restaurants close by. The hotel provided us with good quality accommodation, excellent food, large indoor pool and service that must be commended. The hotel management were most efficient and very friendly in particular Mr Heron. We will recommend this hotel to friends and look forward to returning next summer.
