Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased you found our hotel to be very good.

Cars may be hired at the Sovereign Cars depot immediately adjacent to the hotel and they afford our guests special rates - and parking facilities by agreement with them at time of hire.

We are a traditional sea front hotel as opposed to a modern purpose built establishment and sit comfortably within our AA three Star grading having been recently independently inspected by this respected grading organisation.

We retain professional plumbers who ensure compliance with plumbing standards.

Thank you for your kind words with regard to our housekeeping as this has been much appreciated by our team at the hotel.

Hotel located a 20 minute walk from the heart of St Helier but there is a bus stop outside which gets you there for £2. The buses run every 15 minutes or so and on this excellent system you can access all parts of the Island.

If you arriving at the Airport a No15 bus gets you to the transport hub in ST H for £2 and then a No1 gets you to outside the hotel for a further £2. Given the seeming lack of taxis this is not a bad option.

The Fort is an old school hotel which at the time of our visit was attracting a customer base who could be accurately described as retired. The evening music sessions and bingo are designed to appeal.

Overall very clean and public rooms comfortable. Staff are a plus point. We found them friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Breakfast was good with the dining room providing some excellent views over the bay if you bag a window table.

The main drawback was the old fashioned nature of the bedroom. Let me say it was clean but would not have looked out of place in a 1960's sitcom. Our room badly needed an overall upgrade of furniture and decoration. In particular the small shower cubicle was a disappointment.

Free wifi available throughout the hotel. Air con is not available and room temp is regulated by opening and closing the window. May be very uncomfortable in the height of summer but we didn't have that problem with the weather not being very co-operative during our stay.

Small store nearby sells newspapers and anything else you need, if you have only travelled with hand luggage.

Thank you for your feedback.

We are indeed an old school hotel and we are pleased that you found us to be clean and public rooms to be comfortable. Our hotel sits comfortably too in the three Star category awarded by the AA.

Whilst traditional, all our bedrooms have modern high quality specification Hammonds furniture units. Solid engineered oak bedroom main doors are fitted and these are with the added security of newly fitted latest generation contactless keyless entry. Quality Mattison brand sprung beds are throughout the hotel.

Being on the seafront, the hotel does not retain heat at night as would a city centre hotel.

Thank you for your observations and custom and we hope to welcome you back at some future point.

Very friendly helpful staff and a fantastic location right on the waterfront. Breakfast was fine, pretty much what you'd expect from this type of hotel. We had an evening meal at the hotel as this was part of our booking, which again was ok if it's included in your deal, but wouldn't have chosen to eat there if it was extra, there are some much nicer restaurants within easy walking distance. Evening entertainment was laid on most nights which was good considering it was free, although like the hotel had a whiff of the 70's about it. The communal areas and restaurant were clean and relatively modern but the rooms where quite tired with small windows which was a shame as a nice picture window would have made the most of the great sea views. Overall not a bad hotel for a short break in a nice location but don't expect queen size beds and modern decor and fixtures, think more 1980's B&B.

We are indeed a traditional beach front hotel and we are delighted that that you feel our location is fantastic.

We visited this hotel for a 4 night break in September. The Hotel is situated on the waterfront within a 20 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride from the main harbour and museum area in St Hillier. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The food (breakfast and dinner) was very well prepared and presented and although the dinner menu was perhaps slightly limited, nonetheless it was adequate, often with imaginative ways of presentation. The comfortable lounge bar was well stocked and the unexpected bonus was the appearance of a capable singer/comedian/magician on one evening. Our "standard" room, though in line with the star rating of the hotel, was if anything a little uninspiring décor wise, nonetheless it was clean and well serviced. If booking, it is well worth enquiring about a sea view and superior rooms.

Room Tip: Ask about the sea view as some rooms face the road and some an inner courtyard. Second floor rooms have the better sea views

We stayed at this hotel at the end of the summer holidays with my two daughters and had such a lovely time. A brilliant location right on the beach with the convenience of a bus stop right outside to get into town when the girls were too tired to walk. Every member of staff we dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful, such a pleasure to spend a long weekend here. Room was a great size for the four of us and clean, pool was warm and an excellent extra for the girls to play in every evening.

Our indoor pool overlooks the bay is a big plus for many guests staying with us at the hotel and we are grateful for this feedback. Thank you once again.
