We felt that a lot of thought and care has gone into the design and services of The Club hotel and the result is almost completely successful. The choice of colours, materials and textures used in the design throughout the hotel, in the bedrooms, the bar and restaurant, lounge and reception, is very appealing. It gives a smart, stylish look and feel to the interiors. Our room was an adequate size, had an extremely comfortable king size bed, and good quality furniture. The bathroom was a little small and the bathtub was short if you are six feet tall or more. The free car park was a valuable bonus (up a narrow, steep ramp at the back of the hotel). The indoor pool in the basement was a decent size and we swam there each day. We were told we could only swim in the early part of the morning and evening as the pool was not available for hotel guests outside these hours. The staff were excellent - very professional, polite and helpful. We had the continental breakfast, as a cooked breakfast was a significant extra charge. However, the cold buffet selection was ample, fresh and good quality. Overall, it was a very enjoyable place to stay, fairly expensive, but still reasonable value for money, given the services and facilities provided.

I went to Jersey with my wife and teenage son and we chose this Hotel, as you do, for its excellent reviews, and seemingly good location.
Whilst it’s impossible to fault the boutique influenced design and the contemporary décor , the Hotel lacks warmth and a soul, and the rooms we occupied, although blessed with B and O phones, and egytptian cotton sheets, had views of the less glamorous aspects of one of the UK’s less attractive resorts, St.Helier, and in our case a main road and bus stop. The staff are young and friendly, no complaints there, albeit not indigenous or local it seems which is the norm these days, but there is something missing and it’s called character. Even the extremely basic TV menu fails to meet the variety available in almost all good Hotels these days, certainly not matched to the TV spec. Everything appears to be set up for cosmetic impression but belies the ingredients that make Hotels special, and on the “ must go back” list.
The “ Honesty Bar “ relies on just that as a guest, but a hosted bar would make for a more convivial feeling, especially in the evening, and as the night draws in each visit had to be signed for, as were less in control of our actions.
In fact, I wasn’t intending to offer a review until today when the Hotel called, 2 weeks after our departure to say they had mistakenly charged for a glass of wine to a guest from America who had phoned to say he had noticed this extra glass of Pinot Grigio on his account. After some research they had apparently tracked the glass of wine down to us, and we had been, I assume , spotted on the cctv system and identified as the culprits! Having spent £700 on a 3 night break and signed for all our drinks , or so we thought, and that they had even bothered to pursue it, and my response to the 2 calls made to ask me to pay was a mixture of hysterical disbelief and annoyance. I asked if they were joking and then asked for the Manager, who said “I’m sorry Sir, I’m not sure what the problem is if it’s just a small amount “( £5.50 to be precise ) to which I gave the invited reply that 99.9 % of the population would have done.
An hour later after I had mentioned that Trip Advisor would be the recipient of a less than glowing review, I got the inevitable call “ Sorry Sir, we have reviewed the charge and will be cancelling it “
Sorry , Club Hotel & Spa, too little , and too late. When will Hotels learn that salutory lesson, not to come across as money grabbing.
Design features alone and abstract cream coloured rugs don’t make a Great Hotel, but common sense, and going the extra mile in every area do, and sadly this Hotel and the management and owners have quite a lot of work to do to get there..

Room Tip: ask for a room with a nice view.It willalso be quieter.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. From the meet and greet on arrival, friendliness of staff, attention to detail - moving my grandaughters teddies around the bed during the day and turndown in the evening and then the special present of a new teddy (hotel own) to join her collection. Not to mention the shortbread treat in the evening when the beds were turndown. Thank you for a very special visit. I will return.

Just returned from a week at The Club and we had a fantastic time. The welcome upon arrival was warm and continued to be throughout the stay. The spa facilities are good and the small outdoor pool is just the right size. Breakfast was excellent - a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses, croissants, pastries and freshly squeezed juices. The honesty bar is well stocked although like the in-room mini-bars you pay a premium for the convenience. Some people have complained about the location yet we found it ideal. Far enough away from the rowdiness of the Royal Yacht, Traders and Chambers on a Saturday night yet near enough that you can walk into town. Parking is tight due to space constrictions yet getting a space was never a problem. Rooms are high quality with nice toiletries and a turn-down service. One tip is that the maids can nip in when you're at breakfast so if you are popping out of your room for say half and hour and intend on returning just put the do not disturb sign on. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We didn't eat at Bohemia but drank in the bar a few nights. It slightly lacks atmosphere in the week and is strangely closed on Sundays, plus the musak is terrible - then again I like Slipknot and Machine Head so jazz fusion was never going to be up my street! Overall an excellent hotel we will return to.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view. We emailed the hotel before we stayed as some of the rooms on the road side hav...

We had a lovely family holiday in Jersey with one of the highlights being our stay in The Club Hotel and Spa, St Helier. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, we received a tour of the hotel and an outline of the facilities available to us, a map was provided with local areas of interest highlighted, each member of staff we met was friendly and extremely helpful.
We had a twin room and a double room, both rooms were a good size with lovely bathrooms and very clean, towels were changed each day and bedsheets every other day and extremely comfortable beds!
The hotel is in an excellent location, very central to local areas of interest, approximately 10 minutes walk from the centre of St Helier, bus station and tourist information but despite being in such a central location there is still an aura of calmness and peacefulness, no noise or disruptions. Amenities are excellent, both indoor pool in the spa area and outdoor pool, an honesty bar and 2 fabulous restaurants ensuring that you never have to think of somewhere to eat that evening, just take a walk downstairs!
We really enjoyed our time in Jersey and our stay in the Club Hotel and Spa and plan to return in the not too distant future!

Beautiful boutique hotel with amazing bathroom and large bedrooms. The beds were so comfortable - didn't want to leave them in the morning. Other reviewers would say that view from hotel was not good, but what do you expect in a town.
Hotel staff friendly and attentive. Only down side was that we couldn't get into the acclaimed Bohemia restaurant (fully booked for the 3 nights we were there). Would go back again for a relaxing break.
