“Great Hotel”
Reviewed 10 October 2011

We spent 3 nights here at the beginning of October. Arrived at about 2.00pm. Room ready, so cases were taken up to room 204. A great room just around the corner from the lift, but so peaceful. Huge bed that was so comfortable, I imagine it was like sleeping on a cloud. Room contained 3 arm chairs, 2 bedside tables, desk, dressing table, a large lit wardrobe, hair dryer, fridge with mini bar and a safe and there was still plenty of room to move around. The bathroom was big enough with all the usual facilities but the bath had both a fixed and a flexible movable shower head, very useful. The room was very clean and the bathroom positively gleamed. The staff were very courteous and helpful going out of their way to be of assistance. It was a high standard Continental breakfast (although cooked was offered, no one appeared to take the offer up) which was more than adequate to start the day.
A very nice touch was the offering of a glass of champagne as a welcome (we delayed ours until later). Also when the bedclothes were turned back after 6.30pm each night we were given home made shortcake biscuits in a jar. As the hotel was very close to the shops (great), right on the edge of town, the view from our window was overlooking the hotel car park and across the road the Green Street car cark (although was never heard a car) it was not the best view. But then when I stay in a hotel I expect to be doing things and not wasting my time looking out of the window. Great time, great hotel, can't fault it.

Quiet location very close to the centre of town. Has plenty parking.
Continental breakfast was excellent & filling. Staff are incredibly helpful & friendly - seems as if nothing is too much trouble.
Spa facilities are good - pool is small but warm & never got overcrowded.
Bedroom wasn't huge but well appointed. Excellent shower!
Turn down service at night bring fresh pieces of shortbread for having with coffee - yum!

We have just returned from 4 nights at this hotel and found it to be a wonderful hotel. The standard bedroom, although not huge, was perfect, beautifully clean, marble bathroom, all mod cons, air conditioning, flat screen TV and the bed was the best I have had in any 5 star hotel. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful, and the Bohemia restaurant was absolutely fantastic, some of the best food I have had anywhere and the cheapest for a michelin star chef. Even though there is a 5 star hotel in St Helier, I would not want to go to any other. It is not in a scenic part of the island but there is a bus stop outside the hotel which will take you to the bus station from where you can go anywhere. The shopping area is only a short walk away.

Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights in September at the Club Hotel & Spa, and what a fantastic find this hotel was. It lived up to all expectations and more. Loved the bed linen and the bed itself was the most comfortable i have slept in. The staff were fantastic expecially the reception staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we entered, nothing was too much trouble. Even during the power cut the staff knocked on all the doors checking we were all ok and offering torches!! I would definately return and recommend this hotel. Truely relaxing!

Room Tip: My travel agent recommended a room overlooking the outside pool - definately worth it!

We we're very pleasantly surprised with the hotel on our one-night stay. The website made it look much more like a typical corporate hotel, but the reality was much more homely. The spa was excellent and the pregnancy massage was fantastic. We really enjoyed lunch in the hotel but were a little disappointed by dinner in the Michelin-starred restaurant. The music playing the the restaurant was too loud - it felt more like a bar- and the service was quite slow.

Just returned from a 3 day trip with my daughter. The staff were friendly- nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was spotless, the bedroom a good size, and the buffet style continental breakfast was more than adeqate. The welcome glass of champagne made a good start to a brilliant mini break. The hotel is set less than 5 minutes walk from the top end of the shopping centre, and was very quiet at night. The pool and sauna were quite small, but we only saw 2 other customers in total over the 3 nights that we used the facilities. Guests are allowed use of the Spa area between 8am and 1030am, and 5pm-8pm- this worked well with daily shopping and sightseeing trips. If you purchase a spa treatment, which start with offers at £25, you can use the facilities all day. The outside pool and surrounding area was very relaxing, with sun loungers, and customers can eat breakfast by the pool, or have evening drinks- we drank our champagne by the floodlit pool- I could not believe we had only flown 45 minutes from the UK to have such a beautiful setting and such warm weather! We have previously stayed at other hotels on Jersey- this was our favourite by far!

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the pool- it was delightful.

My mother and I stayed in the Club Hotel and Spa last week and enjoyed our stay enormously. We were greeted with a welcoming smile and were checked in very efficiently before being taken to our room. A welcome glass of Pink Champagne on arrival was a very nice touch as was the shortbread that we received every evening. The accommodation was very comfortable, extremely clean, really quiet and had everything that we needed during our stay. We did have a couple of small issues (with the hairdrier and how to use some of the amenities) but they were taken care of immediately and without any fuss. I also used the free High Speed Internet and had no problems with it during the entire time we were there.

We dined in the Hotel's Clubhouse Restaurant on all but two nights and although the menu was somewhat limited it was always cooked to perfection and very well presented so we enjoyed every meal. We would, however, highly recommend at least one trip to the Michelin starred "Bohemia" which was simply outstanding and almost certainly the highlight of our stay. The service was first class and we were treated like VIP's throughout the experience. We chose from the 3 course A La Carte menu and when each course arrived it was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely heavenly.

We didn't use any of the spa facilities as we were visiting the Island's various attractions but would definitely plan to do so on any subsequent visits.

On departure the car which was to take us to the airport (booked through the travel agent) failed to turn up on time and the Hotel staff were very helpful in findling out what had happened and then provided us with complimentary Pink Champagne while we waited which helped to make the situation more tolerable.

It is quite often the little details that can make (or break) a holiday and we can honestly say that our stay at the Club Hotel and Spa was made extra special by all the staff who attended to our every need with nothing being too much trouble.
