“Centrally located, good quality hotel”
Reviewed 2 June 2014 via mobile

Spent a weekend here with my hubby. It was part of a BA deal.

The hotel is nice. Friendly staff. Good room with lovely Elemis products in the bathroom. Nescafe original as the choice of coffee in the room = definite fail, esp as Jersey has its own coffee company!!

Entrance to hotel is ugly and in some respects, on such a beautiful island, it's a shame it's not closer to the water but I chose it because of the spa ... and then didn't use it!! Well I had a swim and steam but it wasn't anything ' wow'.

Overall we had a nice break but we would go beach side next time.

Friendly, discreet and chic Hotel and Spa, close to the main shopping area. Not an inspiring building, but once inside the warm contemporary décor makes for a very comfortable hotel. The public areas are small, well lit and modern. There is a large bar area within the restaurant, with areas for big and small groups alike to meet for drinks, bar food or to gather for a table in the restaurant for Michelin Starred food. This is also the way in/out of the hotel for guests, rather than using the rear carpark entrance, so you kind of run the gauntlet here with drinkers and diners alike. There is a lovely Spa on site, with various products and services on offer. There is also a very small outdoor pool, more of a plunge pool to be honest, which is heated, but is still very cold. The bedrooms are small, but very comfortable and clean. The beds are reasonably comfortable, but I would have preferred a superking rather than just a king, and would have thought this reasonable given the rating. The TV system is awful and outdated and should definitely be replaced as this does not reflect any level of luxury. I loved the idea of the Honesty Bar that was within the small library, open 24hrs and offering drinks when the main bar was closed. We ate in the well talked about restaurant, with its many Michelin stars. I was not impressed, nor was my partner, and we both felt that there was far too much seasoning (salt) on almost everything that was served. Spoilt a very much looked forward to lunch for my birthday treat. We were asked before we ordered our lunch about any dietary requirements that Chef may need to know about, which is great of course, but I did not for one minute think that salt would be a problem, but oh my goodness, it was. Salt overdose. The waiting staff gave me a bottle of water, although also charged me for one(!!). There were other diners who also sent food back for the same reason. However, the staff here are amazing mostly, and make your stay here very comfortable.

Stayed here for a short mid-week break, have been to Jersey several times and this is the best hotel I have stayed in. Staff very friendly and efficient, facilities first class and food excellent. Didn't get around to using the spa so cannot comment but the rooms and public areas very clean. loved the library area with the honesty bar. Only had lunch in the main restaurant but excellent food, afternoon teas are wonderful and quite reasonably priced. Located close to shopping areas and eateries.

While going through the Jersey.com site of things to do on the island, I noticed a section on Spas. This one stood out for what it offered and the prices too.

Aldona, the Manager, was a joy to deal with as she booked my visit in bits by email, even while I was standing in the airport! And when I arrived, everything was in order.

The facilities were lovely and I was encouraged to try out the pool, the salt cabin and the experience shower before my treatments began. I was also made aware of the Relaxation Lounge.

Annie made my time in the Spa perfect. Highly professional and ever so pleasant, she carried out all treatments ordered. I had spent a number of days walking on the island so having my feet wrapped in warm parafin was a particular delight.

I loved the little touches this Spa had to offer. I was accompanied everywhere - to the pool area, to the treatment area, to the bar area. At no time, was I left to fend for myself or wander aimlessly looking for an exit as has happened me in other places.

Afterwards, Aldona accompanied me to the bar where a health drink and delicious soup were waiting for me. It was so nice to warm down before leaving.

Altogether a most enjoyable afternoon in the company of true professionals who understand that a visit to a spa should be an experience, not simply a service.

Just stayed four days in jersey staying at the club. Lovely hotel with friendly and efficient staff. We didn't eat in the Bohemia main restaurant but enjoyed a very good bar meal there which was also very reasonable. Rooms comfortable and beautifully furnished with great elemis toiletries and wonderful power showers! Would highly recommend.
