Lovely minimoon

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 12 Aug 2017via mobile
We were bought 3 nights as a surprise minimoon and had a lovely time there. Staff were very attentive and rooms were lovely. The thermal suite / spa was rather disappointing but wasn't a key feature of our stay. The inside pool was very cold and one steam room smelt damp and musty. The experience shower was okay along with the 'salt room' which I believe in was simply another smaller steam room (but didn't smell of damp). Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't try the outside pool but it looked lovely. Make sure you try the Bohemia restaurant when you visit, along with their cocktails.

The Club is one of the best appointed and most comfortable hotels I have stayed in. Maybe we got lucky with room 321 as it was at the end of the corridor and had a great bathroom, though no view. The only improvement would be to have Sky or cable TV. Nothing else needs improvement. The included continental breakfast is superb, and the hotel's own restaurant, Bohemia is also great. Highly recommended.

stayed at the club hotel during Easter, the facility and service was very poor, certainly not meet the standard of a 5-star hotel. The shower facility was broken when I was in and hadn't got repaired until the second day.

We stayed for three night at the Club Spa and found everything to our taste. The room was spacious and well appointed and all the staff were helpful and attentive. We totally relaxed. We used the spa for several treatments and felt it was good value.

We arrived on the early flight from London approx. 9am, checkin wasn't until 3pm and they had made a note for us to check in early if the rooms were ready. Unfortunately we were advised they were unlikely to be ready, so off we went into town for a wander. We came back and used the spa facilities. There are no beds round the indoor pool only beanbags or beds for people having treatments. Didn't seem to be a great facility unless you were having a treatment. They did look after our bags for us, but we were made to feel like they were busy and as hotel guests we weren't as important as spa guests. We had a lovely afternoon tea in Bohemia - recommended to us by someone in the pool - the hotel reception didn't really go through any of the facilities or options available to us. I guess I just expected a bit more when they knew I was a travel agent and also rooms were £240 a night. The rooms were lovely with a big sliding glass door - this was a fabulous feature of the room. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! and the amenities in the room were good quality. Liked the shortbread and water at the turndown service. Breakfast was additional - but was good value for £9.95 for a full English, We then didn't eat any of the continental that was included in our rate - but I think for the price we paid English breakfast should have been included. There is also an outdoor pool which is great - comfy sun loungers. Be aware jersey has sunday trading so no shops are open and also I think Taxi's must be double the cost as it cost £14 on the way into St Helier and £21 on the return! Overall a lovely hotel and I would recommend but I think it was a bit overpriced for whats included. I wish i'd shopped around a bit but this was supposed to be a treat for our 40th birthdays. We didn't get made to feel very special

I booked this at the last minute when my choices were severely limited. I need not have worried. This is a 5* hotel with some nice touches
The location was not ideal for me given where my business meetings were but for people that are having a leisure break this location has a lot to recommend it given its proximity to the shops and restaurants
Attentive and helpful check in. Comfortable and well appointed room. Even an umbrella which was good since it was pouring down outside!
Marble fittings in bathroom. Terrific power shower
Good nights sleep in comfortable bed with lovely pillows. Bed turning down service
Nice touch with complex tray bottle of water and shortbread at the bedside
Continental breakfast was good with fresh juice, croissant and pain au chocolate, cooked meats and cheese. Servers were efficient rather than attentive.
I didn't have an opportunity to sample dinner but apparently the Bohemian is highly recommended albeit premium price.
Finally don't buy postcards as there is a complimentary supply of them with some nice Jersey scenes- this was another nice touch which was unexpected
Worth a visit!
