Very comfortable stay

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Aug 2017
Hotel very well situated in the centre of St Helier which was great for restaurants etc.
Rooms well appointed and overall service great, particularly impressed with the house keeping service.
Very comfortable bar again with very attentive service provided.
One negative comment was the consistency of the full 'English' breakfast for which we had prepaid. They need a new egg chef as our fried eggs were either under or over cooked nothing like the over easy ordered.
Would certainly stay here again.

Just returned from a weeks stay in Jersey. This is a lovely small hotel. I feel it is aimed more for short stays or business trips rather than longer holidays. The staff are very polite and helpful. We had an issue with the air conditioning and were moved straight away. The outdoor pool is compact but very pleasant. Any other issues we had were dealt with efficiently.

Rooms lovely and clean with water left each day and shortbread in the evening.Service was excellent and plenty of pleasant staff no matter what we were looking for we got it.Loved the outdoor pool and the terrace was great place for chilling out.Bohemia bar made superb cocktails and we ate there few times food was delicious. We would return again for a nice chilled out holiday.

The room we had was well appointed although the bathroom basin was cracked and the vanity mirror was coming loose as was the wall mounted bedside light. Well stocked mini bar and all very clean. Outside pool is in a tiny courtyard around the back, it's small! To call this a spa is misleading. The basement is where the pool is, no natural light, it's cold, very small with a jacuzzi seat at one end. One slightly steamy room and one smaller good steam room. That's it! No hot tub or sauna, no where to sit, it really shows you're in the basement, you also have to change in your room and walk through the hotel across the main foyer in your dressing gown, how stylish!
Continental breakfast was great and on the whole we managed to get most staff to smile and say hello, almost entirely staffed by eastern European's so long conversation or local knowledge was a no no.
Yes for location, room size, breakfast, car park.
No for the spa, attention to detail, not special enough to be a genuine 4 star.

Cheeky little weekend away for the two of us, we've tried the other top hotels on the island and this one is really good! Food, cocktail bar, rooms and spa were fantastic. Only thing I didn't like is that the main entrance is around the back, you have to walk past the service area to get to it. Not at all pretty. Putting that aside, a great hotel and superb location for St Helier.

We were bought 3 nights as a surprise minimoon and had a lovely time there. Staff were very attentive and rooms were lovely. The thermal suite / spa was rather disappointing but wasn't a key feature of our stay. The inside pool was very cold and one steam room smelt damp and musty. The experience shower was okay along with the 'salt room' which I believe in was simply another smaller steam room (but didn't smell of damp). Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't try the outside pool but it looked lovely. Make sure you try the Bohemia restaurant when you visit, along with their cocktails.
