i stayed at this hotel in 2011 and i have never been to a hotel like it before. the staff were extremely friendly and were always there too help, the pool was amazing and open quite late, i didnt experience the entertainment but from my room it sounded rather good!! the food was great, always plenty if we wanted more and the waiters and waitresses were fantastic! i loved this hotel and i've always wanted to go back!

Basic hotel, clean and friendly but dated with creaky floors. The entertainers had to try very hard to get any response out of the audience, we felt sorry for them! Dinner was between 6:30 and 7:30 and everyone queued up outside the door at 6:25. Needless to say with great restaurants in St Helier we didn't eat in. Not for you if you are young at heart, geared to over 70's.

Spent two weeks at The Norfolk in May this year,as usual everything was to our liking!Staff here are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. The food was lovely. The Entertainment was GREAT,looking forward to our September visit. One extra bonus, staying there is ,it is central for the shops!!! Howard Davis Park gets more beautiful each time we go,

Room Tip: Top floor is what we prefer, but they are all good rooms.

We were expecting a bit more of a trendy hotel, which the Norfolk was not. However, the hotel was one of the cleanest that I have been too and the staff bent over backwards to help on every occasion. The outdoor pool is lovely with plenty of sunbeds and was spotlessly clean. The location is fabulous with a beautiful park close by, the centre for shops and the beach so close. I would recommend this hotel. We are in our early 40's and yes this hotel does attract the older set but that was not a problem at all, the night life in St Hellier was great and although the bar wasn't open until 1am (as advertised) at the Norfolk apart from that I haven't any complaint.

staff here made us feel so welcome. 2 star going onto 5 star. excellent value for money hotel. a special mention to Michael and joseph in the restaurant who treated us like royality. Also the chambermaid who smiled every morning and said hello and did a fantastic job of cleaning our room immaculately. We are already planning our return for next year. The night staff gentleman (who loved his golf), I shall be putting a bet on Ernie Els, win or loose, I will buy you a drink when we return next year. Mr and Mrs Butt

My husband & I are in our early 60's and have just had an enjoyable stay at the Norfolk and don't think some of the previous comments are justified, yes there are a lot of elderly people at this hotel and you have to be prepared to share a breakfast table. We shared with a lovely couple from Aberdeen and had a lot of laughs with them each morning. Breakfasts were good and the staff very pleasant, I can't comment on the evening meals because we went out every night to eat, but people seemed to be enjoying them. The location was ideal if you wanted to walk into town, there was quite a large car park if like us you hired a car, however I could imagine parking may get quite tight during high season. Our room on the 3rd floor was spacious and very clean.
At the end of the day its all down to peoples expectations, the price was very reasonable for Jersey and if you want clean beds and a decent breakfast this is the place to go, if however you want a swanky hotel that you spend all your holiday in, go somewhere else. We just needed somewhere as a base to explore this lovely island and that's what the Norfolk provides.
Many thanks to all the staff.
