first time my wife and I had been to Jersey and I could not believe the Norfolk was only classed as 2 star. It was spotlessly clean with really friendly staff and I could not fault the food. Our only complaint was our shower which had very little pressure so we used the bath more, but on the whole a great hotel .

Lovely hotel, clean, good food, staff could not do enough to make you comfortable, maybe a little more entertainment and it would be a perfect retreat, beautiful island, lovely beaches, would recommend island tour

We normally visit Jersey out of high season, but my son and I wanted to see Jersey's round of the National Speed Hillclimb championship at Bouley Bay, so that meant a July visit. The hotel we usually stay at was really expensive so I turned to Tripadvisor for help and that pointed me towards the Norfolk at around half the price of our usual hotel.

This was a great move - a very nice, clean comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very comfortable with a large bathroom - all we needed. Breakfast was standard stuff, not a vast choice but served hot, swiftly and with a smile.

Daytime temps hit 30C while we were there so the swimming pool was very welcome!

Location is good - within easy reach of the shops and restaurant.

For future visits, the Norfolk Hotel will now be our first choice.

Although I don't think I would return to The Norfolk, however I soon grew to love a lot of things about It.

Positives: the wonderful staff, the other friendly guests, the cleanliness and spotlessness, the beds, fluffy white towels every day
Negatives (IMO): limited evening meal choice, the pool area, lounge areas need facelift, a bit to far to harbour etc if difficulty walking, no views (we had room 212 which overlooked the bins!! And was woken at 6am most mornings by refuse being put out and seagulls screeching and scavenging in the bins)

However Jersey is beautiful and worth a visit.

Room Tip: Not rooms 208 to 214. Can't comment on other rooms.

Just back from a holiday in Jersey and stayed at the Norfolk. Don't be put off by the star rating of this hotel I have stayed in 4 star hotels which did not compare to this one.

Good choice of food at breakfast and dinner, never found anything on the menu we did not like.
Al the staff were very attentive, nothing to much trouble and all very helpful.

Rooms very clean and comfortable.

Would definately recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel are a bit noisey with traffic and revellers but if windows are close...

It is a hotel you can feel at home, clean comfortable bed and all amenities. Rather steep narrow staircase leading up to the room, no lift, however my room was in a separate building at the back of the main hotel building. Hotel has a small swimming pool which is nice. Hotel food is good with large portions and reasonably priced. Hotel is rather far from the center of Saint Helier but it is possible to walk. More senior groups of guests seem to prefer the hotel but that only means they better recognaise good value for money. Free WiFi available only in the lounge and part of the restaurant but not in the rooms. Certainly recommended.

Room Tip: If you have heavy luggage, rooms in the main hotel building could probably be better

Stayed with a friend at beginning of July. Very helpful, professional and friendly reception staff. Very well run restaurant with excellent service, especially from Patricia and Miguel who looked after us so well. The hotel is friendly, cosy, extremely clean and deserves to be more than 2 star. We shared room 113, quite spacious, lots of storage space for two ladies with lots of clothes! Bathroom excellent with wonderful shower! No sea views but centrally located, very near shops and bus station. Public transport is excellent. Lovely garden, cafe and swimming pool make this a very comfortable, relaxed hotel. Excellent service from bar staff too, enjoyed a lovely cocktail most nights. Well done Norfolk Hotel.

Room Tip: Don't expect great views as the hotel centrally located in St. Helier. Twin room 113 was quite...
