“Excellent hotel+++Service+++amenities”
Reviewed 9 January 2011

This is our second stay at this hotel in the past few weeks and I cannot speak too highly about our experiences. I know about the critics who say the place is " too minimalistic; staff unfriendly; bland etc " but for a short break this hotel fits the bill. We found the staff very unobtrusive but extremely friendly and helpful when needed. You can at least park at the hotel and it is a very short walk to the shops. On both occasions our rooms were upgraded - the second time I booked the wrong room in error but we were upgraded to a better sea-view room with no extra charge - even though I was expecting , and was quite prepared to pay the extra. It was my booking fault but thanks to Radisson.
OK - not the hotel if you wanted a beach holiday in the midst of summer - but neither would be its main competitors in the centre of the town. The hotel is quiet (we heard no noise from the christmas party functions going on). The rooms are large; bed huge and the room/facilities excellent. And I enjoyed swimming and using the hotel gym in the mornings - had the pool all to myself at 8am and 7pm.
The food is good; breakfast excellent and the bar meals fine. For those who want a family hotel atmosphere then there are plenty of guest houses around. But for a professional city-centre hotel with all the 4-5 star facilities you cannot beat this hotel. For an uninterrupted night's sleep I think the Radisson beats the other hotels across the square hands down. After all you can only drink at one bar or eat in one restaurant at a time?
My only criticism is that the fish in the huge tank in the reception need more friends to swim with- they seem a bit lonely!

great choice of hotel would recommend a room with sea view well worth the extra cost.

Second stay here and enjoyed it very much. It is appealing modern hotel which still feels new and fresh. Great friendly staff, good breakfast and good food offerings all round. Enjoyed a very short stay in Jersey and will be back to the Island and the Radisson.

ignore anything you read saying this isn't a great place and is an ugly building - it just looks like any normal modern hotel, but has fab views out over the bay and castle in the harbour. We stayed for free using goldpoints offer, room was great and had everything you need. Modern, comfy, great flat screen TV and good bathroom. Hotel has nice restaurant, bar, free parking and good breakfast. The pool here was fab and the whole hotel is very child friendly, but I can see would be good for business too. Overall a great hotel and thoroughly recommend it.

I booked this hotel as a treat for my wifes birthday. We had a one bedroom suite that was pure luxury, The food was superb my wife had a thai curry that she said was the best she had ever tasted, I had the duck and that again was delicious .
We used the pool facility and again was brilliant and steam room very good.
The breakfast was brilliant with loads to choose from, All of the staff are very friendly and very polite. Bar staff are very good and make lovely cocktails, reception staff sorted us out with a late check out to 3 pm with no questions asked and the restaurant staff were very good and made you feel special. We will definately return as this was our 3 rd stay and it only gets better.

We stayed here for a winter break which offered excellent value for money. We did not expect the weather to be great, so chose the hotel for its amenities and proximity to St Helier city centre. Despite unusually severe weather we had a great stay. The hotel is nearly new with a good gym and 15 metre swimming pool. It has free parking (a real bonus in Jersey) and is only a short walk from the shopping district. The hotel is on the bay overlooking a marina, Elizabeth Castle and the beach. It is close to the ferry port, but not affected by that at all. We were given an excellent room overlooking the bay, beach and castle. The king size bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff (all european) were very helpful and went out of the way to assist when our departure was delayed due to the weather. Breakfast was very good with something for everyone. There is a bit of building going on around the hotel, which did not disturb us at all. Within easy walking distance is a cineplex and a full size modern swimming pool complex. Full marks to the hotel and its very friendly helpful staff.
