I've eaten here on a couple of occasions and always found they have a good choice of food upon the menu which is cooked to a high standard and also they have a good slection of wines to choose from as well and all at a reasonable price. The only downside in my mind is that it's not a large restaurant and when it is very busy indeed, which is often owing to it's popularity i do personally find it a slightly claustrophobic,

Excellent service, the food was delicious. Friendly staff. As residents of Hotel de France it was a great option if we didn't want to venture out.

We went on Wednesday and was expecting something sublime based on previous reviews but whilst the food was good, it was not in the same league as any of the other places rated on trip advisor. My starter of goats cheese mushroom had same garlic bread base as the bread basket before it and the cucumber wedges were with everything. Portions were big but the flavour choices just slightly odd. Parsnip with cajun pork? It reminded me off one of my dad's experiments - good food but a bit of everything thrown in.

We went for the early-bird menu here and received excellent value for money. The meal was superb. We had the Spring roll starter, which was not only delicious but large enough to be a main course alone. Our second course was their well-known steak and pepper sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection! The house wine was excellent and the atmosphere was both intimate and relaxing.
