“Peaceful, friendly and comfortable campsite”
Reviewed 18 August 2013

We have just returned from a 6 night stay at this campsite and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in a set-up tent and were very impressed with the facilities and value for money we got - both regarding the campsite and the tent itself. The tent was well equipped with beds off the floor and real bedding (not sleeping bags). We were in an attractive grassy field with a mix of other campers but no campervans which made it nice and quiet and very family-friendly (our children loved it). Our kids (eight and eleven) made lots of friends and loved the pool, mini-golf and plenty of open space. The campers all seemed to be 'on the same wave-length' regarding noise - we rarely heard any amplified music and the site was quiet by 10.30pm - with no need for patrols by the staff and suchlike which we have experienced at other sites. Our only gripe would be that there was only glass recycling available on-site, no paper or plastic, despite this being available elsewhere on Jersey. All-in-all - would thoroughly recommend.

Room Tip: Avoid the camper-van fields if you can (unless you are in one of course) - their were less bathroom...

Have just returned from a week camping at Rozel, relaxed, happy and wanting to return next year. The staff are helpful, polite and friendly and helped us out when it got a little bit windy by allowing us to help ourselves to as much baling twine as needed to tie down the tent. (I must point out that it was the only 'bad' few hours of weather we had - the rest was hot and sunny!) The pool is in the sun all day and has a number of sun loungers and parasols if required.
The site is well placed on the North East part of the island and is close enough to walk to a couple of nice restaurants and a short drive away is the lovely beach of Gorey overlooked by Mont Orgueil castle. The toilet facilities on the campsite are clean and have powerful showers that provided hot water all day, they include a slightly larger family shower for those who have a couple of little ones to all fit on at the same time. A simple games room and crazy golf was great for my 8 year old and she also enjoyed the freedom of playing with her new little friends in a safe environment. The Shop provides all that is required and you can order papers if you so wish. Our fellow campers all seemed to have been several times over the years and I too hope to return soon.

Room Tip: The hire tents look very good!!

Just back from a week here with my girlfriend and 2 children. This is the 2nd time in 13months that i have been here as an adult. THe staff are the most friendly and helpful campsite staff i have ever encountered. The facilities are spotless and plentiful. Use of games room, tv room, crazy golf, pool and swings all free and even with the site busy there was no waiting. Great toliets and showers which are spotless all days and even when raining. Great washing areas for laundry and dishes. Just Fab, fab, fab. If i was looking to be critical it would be that the shop is a little low on stock but does have essentials.

We stayed here for 4 nights, our first camping experience!

We chose a set up tent, which came equipped with everything we needed. When we arrived it was spotlessly clean.

Camp site has a pool and a playground which my 4 year old and 16 month old loved.

Will definitely go back, just not with a teething toddler, apologies to the camp next door!

Caravanning on Jersey is not for the feint hearted considering the tight roads which are not that easy to navigate. That said, the site owner was waiting at the ferry terminal for us at the moment we landed on the island and escorted us to the camp site quickly and efficiently.

Some of the facilities seem a little dated, but functional none the less. Most importantly though, they are spotless.

It was great to be able to set up with our caravanning companions in any manner we wished on the two pitches we had requested with views of France.

We went out daily to explore the island which has so much scenery packed into such a small space. On returning we were surprised to see lines in the grass around whichever car was left there for the day. It seems the grass was mown daily during our stay!

The site shop is very handy for essentials although the solar heated pool actually means rather cold pool, but none the less, it is a fantastic site and look forward to spending more time there in the future.

If you are thinking of going, make sure you have plenty of levelling equipment. Jersey is quite undulating in its nature and this site is no exception.

Finally, I strongly recommend ordering fresh pastries for breakfast every morning. Delicious.

Room Tip: If you want to be out of the wind, then request a low pitch. Views of France are fantastic to wake...

We stayed here last year and were only too happy return. It's not just the location which is wonderful (overlooking the sea and French coast) it's the friendliness of the hard working owners which flows through to everyone staying at the site. The tents are well equipped, the toilet and shower facilites are good and the outdoor pool is popular. There is an on site shop that sells reasonably priced and fresh food every day. But as I said last time, this is a very family orientated site with lots of kids running around (and playing nicely), if you are looking for a quiet place free of children this is not it. One small quibble: the crazy golf course could do with a bit of TLC. Will we return again: You bet!

My husband and I spent 10days here from july10 to 20th.We were lucky enough to have just one full day of rain The toilet facilities were spotless, as were the dishwashing and launderette.Free irons and hairdriers. The shop on site was pretty basic but there was fresh bread every morning.T.V. room, lounge for campers and a games room. The swimming pool was huge. The bus stop was practically outside the camp entrance with a regular hourly service. The site owners could'nt have been more helpful.Rozel bay was beautiful, and the Rozel Inn had delicious food reasonably priced, only took us about 15 mins to walk there.
