“Great Value and Location”
Reviewed 10 September 2012

Stayed for 5 nights in Sep 2012. Double ensuite room basic, very clean, good shower, comfy bed, quite. Good continental breakfast included served in pleasant room by helpful friendly staff. Only 10 mins to Gorey Harbour and Castle. Free Parking on site. Public transport nearby. There is a steep climb back up from the village however the view from the top of the hill is stunning.

We would return and recomend it to others

i spent 3nights at the JAAC at the end of august, i had a single room with bathroom included, it was small but clean. at that time of the year, it was not too busy so really peacefull.
the staff including Gavin, has been friendly, helpful and always keen on to give you advice on what to do and how to go there, and even saying their own point of view on some of the attractions.
i had a lovely stay and i wish i could have stayed longer! i will defenitly try to come back!

I stayed here for a week with my two daughters during the beginning of July. We'd booked a family room (en suite) and found it to be spacious and very clean. The beds were made when we arrived; bins were emptied every other day and towels replaced. Very unusual in a hostel,

The hostel is in a large building, with plenty of room and space. My girls were very happy to find wifi in the sitting area, that also has a tv. Besides there is a games room, a laundry, a kitchen and a large outside area to sit or play. The location is fine for exploring Jersey - especially if you bring your own car as we did. But nice for an evening walk downhill to Gorey too, to walk along the sea of sit in the pub there (not if you have trouble walking though), or check out the ancient dolmen just around the corner. Durrell wildlife apprx.10 minutes by car.

Breakfast is fine and sometimes one can join for diner in the evening. Nothing wrong with the cooking!
Although we were happy with all of the above, I think the real strongpoint of this hostel are its people. Very friendly and helpful staff - all of them actually.
We had a lovely week staying here, felt quite welcome and at home and I would certainly recommend it.

Have just returned from a week long stay with my 5 year old son. If you want 5 Star luxury, this isn't the place. If you want a beautiful location, laid back atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff and flexibility, this is it!

Breakfast was great with an awful lot to choose from. The room (twin) that we had was spacious and had everything we needed and the week's stay was reasonably priced.

Would I stay there again? Without hesitation!

Visited July 16th - 18th with teenage daughter. We had a twin ensuite room. Clean, basic and plenty of space. Lovely location. Choice of two bus routes so don't need a car. Extremely helpful staff and other visitors we found to be friendly. Breakfast - choice of fruit juice and cereals, yogurts, cheese and boiled eggs. Toast on request. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, plenty of milk. Good value for money. Would certainly visit again with the rest of the family. Although we didn't test drive any activities there seemed to be plenty on offer to keep children occupied.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room which was quiet. We faced north, next time would ask for east or south fa...

well, as a Chinese, it is my first time to visit Jersey and experience this wonderful place. The island is welcomed as well as the residents there.
The staffs were really nice and helpful with patient, because our English is not very good to understand everything, they provide very helpful advises. It is a lovely space to stay.

Me and my other half visited jersey for a wedding and decided to make a long weekend of it. The place was recommended to us and we weren't disappointed. The staff (John) were really nice and welcoming and happy to help, make a cup of tea etc whenever required. The location was perfect for us just over the road from our friends and a stones throw from gorey beach. Would be a tough walk for the oldies but there is a bus and it's no problem for us youngsters. Accommodation was basic but clean, we had a large room with en suite and was perfectly functional for getting ready for the wedding etc. The centre itself is quite large with a large dining area where a nice continental breakfast is served. There were a large group of children on a trip staying at the same time as us and we hardly noticed them. Remember this is not a posh hotel, but a perfectly pleasant place to stay all the same which I would visit again.

Room Tip: Get an en suite it is worth it. There is no kettle in the room but you can pay extra to use a kitche...
