“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

Great out of town locations, quiet and a sun trap if you can take advantage of the outside seating. Large and varied menu and very fresh. Will definitely being going back to visit this one. Worth noting thaton a Sunday they serve throughout the day and not just roasts.

“A Gem in the Country”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

A fantastic traditional pub in St Mary, Jersey.
Superb food with regularly changing specials.
There is a separate (extensive) childrens play area with entertainment for all ages of children.
Within the play area there are many tables for dining so you can stay with the the little nippers if so wished.
If you want to be away from children the comfortable bar area is a haven.
For those sunny days there is an alfresco area at the front which is a sun trap.
All in all it is a true gem of a pub serving good fresh food without gastropub prices.
Nearly forgot to mention the staff who are friendly, attentive and fun !

“Nice meals, really good decor & children's area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Attended there on a lunchtime two children and four adults, indoor children's play area fantastic and well covered by CCTV (which adults can watch on large screens). Good food, only drawback for us is that we asked for gravy to go with a very dry (on the outside) meat pie which seemed to take forever and a day to arrive. Staff very pleasant and approachable. Hint, if attending without children turn right on entering to avoid the children's play area!

“be ready to climb”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014

the devils hole is well worth a look, but be ready for the long walk back! This is some climb, but the pub at the top is a welcome sight..Th pub is similar to an Englisb serving pub food but has a good indoor childrens play area away from the pub section
