“Fantastic Holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014

Travelled to Jersey to seawold hotel for my 65th birthday with friends and we had very enjoyable holiday . This was thanks to Carlos and Silvana who treated us very well and looked after us all. This was our third time at the seawold the first under the new owners and the first time for two of our friends who really enjoyed it .I would without doubt recommend it to anyone for cleanliness service which was first class and look forward to going again next year. What ever we ask they got for us Thank you for a memorable holiday.

As a budget traveller I was initially attracted to this guest house as I was able to get a single room without paying a supplement. The treatment however was five star. Carlos and Silvena were warm and welcoming and did all they could to meet any of my requests (eg use of a hairdryer, directions from airport etc) The rooms were scrupulously clean and although compact they were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and one can order reasonably priced meals in the evening if one did not want to go out again. Its location is excellent with a bus stop nearby on the route from the airport and within easy walking distance of a supermarket and excellent restaurants at St Aubins. I would recommend Seawold Guest House and would definitely come back again.

I travelled to Jersey and the Seawold Guest House for my first full holiday alone. Carlos and Silvena helped make my holiday a pleasant and memorable one, it was within easy reach of the airport and was a great base for seeing a beautiful island. Highly recommended ;)

Kate and Debbie were friendliness personified, nothing was too much trouble, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The location is delightful, almost on the beach front, but not quite, just a short step across the road, and very close to the Gunsite Cafe. The 'train' goes right along the seafront too. Breakfast, although at a fixed time, was always freshly cooked, with lots of choices.

Room Tip: Choose a room furthest away from the road for the quietest sleep!

Stayed at Seawold Guest House mid September 13 as a base to explore Jersey for a few days. Noted the good reviews for Seawold on Trip Advisor and booked. We found it to be a perfectly good value for money guest house, clean and welcoming. What you see on their web page is exactly what you get.

Kate gave us a choice of rooms on arrival, chose room 2 as it had partial sea views (front of the property). Some trip advisor comments suggested the rooms to the front of the property could be noisy due to the busy road out front, we had no problems with noise at all, although we did have the windows closed for most of our stay due to the weather.

Some also commented on the width of the hallway and trouble getting luggage to rooms at the back of the guest house? Personally I couldn't see an issue unless the previous guests thought this guest house would have the same corridor space as a 400 room all inclusive hotel.

The location was perfect for us, 15 minutes stroll to St Aubin, 30 minute stroll to St Hellier. The guest house is located second row from the sea front, across a small but busy road. We estimate the beach is less than 2 minutes walk from Seawold Guest House, fantastic it is too.

We walked to most places from Seawold Guest House rather than hiring a car, the South of the Island is very accessible on foot, however, buses are easy to use and reasonably cheap, average fare seemed to be £1.70 per person wherever you went. There are bus stops outside Seawold going to the east and west if needed, very handy. Pub dining and drinks seemed to be on a par with London prices.

More places we walked to from Seawold Guest House include; Corbiere lighthouse (stunning) - 2 hours stroll, St Brelade's beach (gorgeous) - 1 hours stroll.

The missus and I both adore coastal activities, we tried to describe the island's coast to our kids when we got home, best we could do was " jaw droppingly stunning".

Return visit to Jersey and the Seawold Guest House is a certainty.

Room Tip: Front rooms have partial sea views. We stayed in room 2.

Place was fully booked so the only room was at the front, busy road so a lot of road noise. Older property a bit dated but that added to the charm of the place and to change it would destroy the character of the house. The place was very clean. The food is very good. Debbie & Kate make you feel really welcome. Nothing is to much trouble. Handy for families as the beach is across the road. There is café and toilets right there by the beach. We found ALL public toilets in Jersey very clean and one every where you turned. Plenty of car parking. Bus stops close by. We used the buses throughout our stay as to park a car anywhere in Jersey seemed to be a problem.
A pub for eats minutes from the house. St.Aubins is agreat place for a wander around and when the tide is out, it is a wonderful place for exploring in the rock pools and we are in our 50's!
Yes of course we would stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the front because of the busy road.
