When we were seated at the table the waiter unolded the napkins and placed them on our laps. Very observantWe had a starter which was excellent and skate which was prepared beautifully. The waitress was most friendly and very helpful. With the puddings she brought us a sample on a plate which was thrown away afterwords.
I would highly recommend this Hotel/Restaurant to anyone who visits or is in Jersey..
Enjoy the great meal;s and the excellent service and decor.

My husband and I have arrived home to rainy Scotland after a perfect week in Jersey. It was made so by our stay at the Greenhills Hotel and the sun of course. Our room was extremely comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant was superb and very good value for money and plenty choiceThey even made my favorite breakfast for me which was not on the menu. The pool in the garden is lovely to soak up the sun and a waiter is always on hard to provide any drinks or snacks. The crowning glory of The Greenhills Hotel is the superb customer service by the staff led by the two managers. They make your stay very personal and even at very busy times take the time to chat and see if they can help you in any way.We will definately be back.

We've just returned from a four-night break in Jersey when we stayed at the Greenhills Country Hotel in St Peter. The rooms were generously proportioned, comfortable and clean, although our bedroom decor was a little tired (but his was a minor negative). However, what sets this hotel apart from others we have stayed in is the service; every member of staff, from the manageress to the chamber maid, was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to help. We arrived before our room was ready (early ferry), and we couldn't have been made more welcome - we were even offered another room to freshen up in, and given towels for the pool. The setting is idyllic; beautiful gardens and building. It is quite rural, but the beauty of Jersey is that you are never very far from a town or village, and we are keen cyclists so it wasn't an issue. The breakfasts were fabulous with lots of choice, and the lunches we had were lovely, although any food not included in the 'bed and breakfast' price is a little expensive (but this is to be expected in a 4* hotel). We would thoroughly recommend the Greenhills Hotel for a 'getaway-from-it-all' break, and will definitely go back.

Room Tip: Our room had a garden view, but was close to the dining room, which was quite noisy on Saturday nigh...

Two main issues here, we had a bad meal mid week through our stay, when I complained to the manager and asked if the regular chef was off work; I was told that was not the case, subsequently I found out that I was told a lie. This manager sruggles to deal properly with a complaint.
That same evening or really in the early hours the fire alarm would go off intermittemtly. I was forced to get dressed and go to reception to find out what was happening. One of the waiters was constantly silencing an alarm condition. The other manager appeared and I was assured that the fire service was called. When the fire service did not arrive I was told by the manager that she had cancelled the service. I am sure most people are aware that there is no fire service who would call off a shout.
Ha there been a real fire many lifes would have been lost. A very dangerous practice. When I complained, I was told that "I am the manager and I decide what happens" frightening.
The representation on the web site about links with sister hotel for a swimming pool is a bit stretched, £20 in a taxi if you want to go there. The outdoor pool in the garden is hardly bigger than my fish pond at home.
I realise that things are expensive on Jersey, however copared to four star hotels in England this one is not good value.

We are sorry that your stay at the Greenhills Hotel did not meet your expectations. We do take customer service and health and safety very seriously and therefore feel it necessary to make a formal response to your comments. Firstly, the standard of our chefs is extremely high and the team preparing meals on the evening in question was the same as for the previous 2 nights. We received many highly positive comments over this period although it became evident that we could not satisfy your requirements. It was agreed that as a gesture of goodwill we would waive the charge made against your dinner that evening and our sincere apologies in not meeting your personal requirements was offered.
With regards to the fire alarm – the alarm was activated at 11.45 pm and was (within minutes) traced to a faulty sensor within the kitchen. There was no need to inconvenience people further by evacuating the Hotel. The security company that we work with were immediately called and they arrived at 12.10am and replaced the faulty sensor. Fire safety is of the utmost importance to us and great care is taken to ensure all of our guests are safe at all times. As part of a wider Group we are pleased to offer the free use of the facilities at the Merton Hotel which is situated just outside St Helier – many of our guests make use of these first class facilities. In no way do we try to misrepresent the location.

The hotel is lovely and set in beautiful well maintained gardens. The rooms are comfortable and when we stopped in June all the TV's were upgraded to LCD flat screens The food was excellent with a wide variety of local dishes, it was extremely good value for the quality of service.
Downsides my mistake was not to hire a car unfortunately the bus service only runs to around 5ish and to get anywhere you generally have to set off from the main station in St Helier so some of the bus journeys meant we had to travel to St Helier to get a bus that went on our desired route it felt like we were on a bus a lot and then we had to make sure we got back to the station on time as they only ran till around 5pm. My advice would be unless you are stopping in St Helier definitely hire a car. The other thing which slightly annoyed me about this hotel was the spa facillities which advertised on the website look fantastic but which are actually at the sister hotel and not at this one, the sister hotel is Alison not round the corner but in St Helier, you have to travel a good 25 mins bus journey 15 min walk just to get to them and then they were not as described and not an experience I would like to repeat. Over looking these two issues everything else was lovely and my mother and I did have a lovely time. I would stay here again but only if we hired a car.

This hotel is a superb little gem hidden away in St. Peter's Valley in Jersey. It is not a large hotel so has the ability to make all guests feel extremely welcome in an individual way. There is ample parking (something which Jersey hotels generally don't have!), clean well sized bedrooms, an excellent restaurant (used by many locals) and is only 4 miles from St. Helier. The hotel is extremely well run by the manager and manageress who have both been there for over 10 years. The staff are the most attentive you could have and the meals are superb served by highly attentive staff who care about your enjoyment of the whole Jersey experience.

We have been to Jersey for numerous holidays and this has been the best hotel to date - by far.

We booked 5 nights here for 40th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. The staff were all exceptional, very friendly and professional. We booked in for dinner on 2 nights: the 1st when we arrived, and Sun July 17th, our actual anniversary. We had the set menu on both occasions which, at £28 for 3 course plus an amuse bouche and coffe/petit fours was excellent value. Greenhills is one of those comfortable places where you sink into the armchair in the lounge, read a good book, and don't want to get up again! Music plays very softly in the background. The fun pool (not for serious swimmers) and hot tub were welcome when the weather was good. Our room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed, but decoration was a little 'tired'. Our en suite had the boiler flue going through it (room 9) so it was rather hot (fine in winter I guess), so we slept with the windows open. It was generally quiet and we slept very well. We did not let the weather stop us from doing all we wanted to whilst staying on the lovely island of Jersey.
