The staff were sublime. Excellently trained, friendly and incredibly helpful. They were determined to make you feel comfortable and welcome. You just had to ask.

The garden room we had for 10 days was a little tired, but well serviced. Loose wall and ceiling paper, spoiled a very comfy bedroom. No air conditioning or natural ventilation meant leaving a window open, so anyone passing by could be easily heard. The ensuite was a disappointment with a toilet that was impossible to sit on squarely and a shower over the bath that, as usual, was too low to get under. Rusty plumbing and unfinished paintwork left the impression that this room needed an overhaul.

Parking can be a bit of a squeeze, especially when the restaurant has a function booked.

The food was superb. Top quality presentation and priced similarly to other quality restaurants we experienced during our stay. Breakfast was bountiful and top quality, but the lack of Eggs Benedict/Royale on the menu and paying extra for the smoked salmon was surprising.

Overall, a very pleasant experience, a well positioned country hotel with 4* facilities and 5* staff.

This is our 11th year at this superb hotel. We found it when looking for a small quiet hotel in Jersey from which we could explore the island. Throughout that time we have enjoyed excellent service with a warm welcome.
The bed rooms are generous in size and always clean.
The food is wonderful with a great selection of breakfast treats and a table d'hote four course dinner menu with different choices every night. One of the great pleasures after a day walking on the coast or spent on the beach is to sit in the garden with an aperitif deciding what to eat that evening.
Nothing seems to be a problem, whether it is hiring bicycles or finding something which is not on the menu.
A true gem in the hotel world, wonderfully professional staff but with a sense of fun, one of my top three hotels.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in August 2011. The exterior view was that of a floral extravaganza surrounding a stone building easy on the eye. The interior is somewhat dated but clean, comfortable and well managed. Our bedroom was a touch disappointing but homely and adequate. The bathroom was a bit spartan but again clean and adequate. We had an excellent double bed and even with the window open at night it proved quiet and restful. Tea & coffee, TV, wardrobe and drawer space all up to standard.
The staff were excellent with friendly smiles and fast service. Overall I would say this hotel is most suitable for mature couples. There were a few children about but no toddlers.
The food in the restaurant was top class. A four course evening meal for £28 proved to be very good value. Breakfast was all that you could ask and virtually every taste is catered for.
My one gripe would be the very weak low pressure shower in the bathroom under which it was difficult to get wet!

Just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at the Greenhills Hotel in Jersey with my wife and 4 children. We booked purely based on the comments we had seen on Tripadvisor and it completely exceeded our expectations! Every single one of the staff were top class, nothing was ever too much trouble, we were completely spoilt throughout our stay. The food was fabulous whether it be breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner... the chefs and waiting on team were brilliant every day! The rooms were extremely well presented and kept very clean and tidy by the wonderful housekeeping team who were incredibly efficient and attentive and deserve so much credit!

Thankyou very much to Carmelita and Joe (who manage the hotel) and all the staff at Greenhills for an absolutely fantastic holiday and for making us feel more like friends than just guests! We will definately visit again and also recommend this little "Gem of Jersey" to all our friends and family!

We have just had another fabulous holiday at Greenhills. Joe and Carmelitta are so welcoming as are all the staff here. They even recognised us all from our stay last year.
The food here is probably some of the best food I have tasted in a Hotel or restaurant, the chefs are amazing as are the waiting staff, always making time to chat if you wish. The service is very very good. Food is served on piping hot plates and amazingly presented ! They also were fantastic at accomodating our sons dairy allergy which means a lot to us.
We have recommended to all our friends and family.

Can't wait to come back again. Its all over too quickly.

Many thanks

Rachel

When we were seated at the table the waiter unolded the napkins and placed them on our laps. Very observantWe had a starter which was excellent and skate which was prepared beautifully. The waitress was most friendly and very helpful. With the puddings she brought us a sample on a plate which was thrown away afterwords.
I would highly recommend this Hotel/Restaurant to anyone who visits or is in Jersey..
Enjoy the great meal;s and the excellent service and decor.
