We have just returned from a 4 day break at this hotel, what else can we say about this superlative hotel which ranks in our opinion as one of the best we have ever stayed in! The staff were some of the best we have come across both in their professionalism and their friendliness, nothing was too much trouble,in particular Mark the American who can`t drive(sorry Mark I have never met an American who could`nt drive) and all the staff in the restaurant.
Our room was very large and had it`s own patio area which sorry to say thanks to the bad weather was unused as was the very warm out-door swimming pool, the bathroom was extra large and had twin washbasins as well as a separate shower cubicle and bath, all very clean and spotlessly cleaned every day with fresh towels and all linen changed daily if you required it.
The food was Master Chef standard, superbly cooked, presented, and very very fresh;in fact as good as anywhere we have i.e.Gordon Ramsey,Heston and our own favourite Burj al Arab, and the breakfasts were just as good.
So if you want to be spoiled with superlative food, accomodation, and great staff book room25 and go and ejoy yourselves I just hope you have better weather than we did.

Room Tip: ask for ground floor at the back its quieter and you get a patio with views of the gardens.

Everything was superbly presented, the staff were extremely attentive and we wanted for nothing. The grounds are amazing with over 15 acres to explore - beautiful pool area- ; Thoroughly enjoyed the food and we were lucky with weather. THoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms have patio area

You will want for nothing, and the service is perfection, yet unpretentious. The menu caters to everyone from those with an adventurous palate to the vegetarian diner, with all ingredients locally sourced, some from their organic 'kitchen garden', on the grounds. The staff are friendly, accomodating, and sincere. I learned they have just renovated the rooms this January 2012, yet i was smitten when I arrived last fall. Fresh flowers adorn the entire hotel, and no detail is overlooked. The manor has recently sponsored the Silverback Gorilla, 'Badongo', at the local world class Durrell Conservatory, (a must visit), and are benefactors of his medical, feeding, and any other expenses he accrues each year. A sure sign that the Longueville Manor cares about the island, the animals, and being an integral part of the local community.
The guests that stay here are lovely! I've made new friends with people and the staff tell me that guests will return each year as a sort of reunion. So having Michael make you one of his fabulous cocktails in the lounge next to the fire, while Sammy makes you giggle with his brilliant sense of humor, breaks the ice to talk and mingle with the others who hail from all over.

This is the best hotel we have ever had the pleasure at staying at and we have stayed at raffles, sandy lane, the oriental etc. The room was fab, the food oh my word- in fact we ate here every night, the staff , the bed , the tv in the bathroom, the gardens . And last but not least Pedro who is a credit to the hotel. Can not wait until we visit again x

Another wonderful stay in this lovely hotel.
The refurbished rooms are stylish, comfortable and well appointed, the staff are welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent, as always. Real shame the weekend had to come to an end and it was time to leave. Can't wait for another excuse to check in !
