Just returned from three nights at Longueville Manor (Room 8 at the front). Overall, excellent. There were staff everywhere and always courteous and friendly, especially in the dining room. Several different public rooms for drinks, very nicely decorated in white/mushroom colouring, with candles. Food was extremely good - initial chef's 'amuse-bouches' nice - could have been varied over the three nights! (that's being very picky). Table d'Hote menu was absolutely sufficient - 3 choices for each course.
We asked for tea-making facilities in our room as we had to leave pre-breakfast for a flight and a clever box was delivered straightaway with all you need - free of charge. Room service otherwise delivers, but expensive, with delivery charges. We ordered afternoon tea served in our room one afternoon - sandwiches, scones with cream, small gateaux etc - set out properly on the table in our room with table-cloth etc. Room was plenty big enough for this, sofa, huge bed.
There was a wedding on during our stay, from which a fair amount of noise rose into our room, but it was finished by 7 p.m.
A great choice.More
