“Pure luxury and the best food ever!”
Reviewed 11 February 2013

Our stay and celebration meal at Longueville will be remembered for a long time to come! It really is 'the stuff of dreams'. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was excellent. The bathroom vast with lovely touches like a candle, complete with matches and a fresh orchid laid on top of the facecloths. Fresh apples and bottled water were welcome touches. The bed was very comfortable and this, coupled with the quiet made for a good night's sleep. Everything had been thought of down to a much needed umbrella and Hunter wellies! The lounge areas were very cosy and welcoming. The food is to die for! I just wish I could have had 3 courses! The cheese trolley needs to be experienced to be believed. Each course was beautifully cooked and presented. My husband's banoffee soufflé was a work of art. Excellent breakfast too. The staff are so wonderfully friendly, we never once felt out of place - we were treated like royalty and we certainly aren't! We will return.

Room Tip: Go for a superior room.

we have just returned from having sunday lunch at Longueville and would advise all of you to choose somewhere else to spend your Sunday afternoon.

Service was poor and the food was not much better. Waited far to long to order drinks and then 25 mins at table for first service.

Had beef sirloin, but quite easily have been horse as you could not taste anything other than the burnt onion gravy.

Not even asked if everything was ok.

but its true. A top hotel that deserves its praise from the moment you arrive until departure, it oozes class.
We visited on a deal with secret escapes (after hitch with travel due to catamaran cancellation because of weather warning that never came but hey ho - we flew instead at cost- hint - dont go by boat in winter!)
Our room was large with extra touches and good size bathroom- 1st floor, our friends was ground floor with similar furnishings and touches. The only gripe from all of us was that the pillows were too soft and floppy, we were all using 3 and still that wasnt brilliant but a small problem when everything else was wonderful.
The main reason to come here though has to be the food. We all raved about our selections from fish to beef and veggie. Do save yourself for the cheese trolley which has to be seen if not tasted - but best tasted!
Couldnt afford to stay here at rack rate but a wonderful treat if you can get here.

The Longueville Hotel and restaurant is truly an establishment that provides top notch service set in a country setting. The restaurant staff are excellent and the cuisine of the highest standard; accompanied by a superb choice of wines from across the globe and at a range of prices to suit every budget. It is a family owned hotel headed up by Malcolm Lewis most ably assisted by his right hand man Pedro Benton.
To stay and dine here is an experience not to be missed if visiting Jersey.

Urrghh - what a terrible title - Tina Turner, yuck, hate that music - but this phrase simply describes Longueville Manor perfectly. It is the best. The best service, the best food - I did not send our compliments to the chef on our last visit and deeply regret it. The food is so so good. Andrew Baird (the Head Chef) must just see empty plates coming back into the kitchen, but I wonder how much feedback her gets from the diners. He should get excellent feedback as his exquisite food cannot be faulted. We have now stayed at Longueville, including getting married here, many times. I can honestly say that there is not one thing that I can fault. The comfiest beds, the best cheese trolley I have ever tasted. The breakfasts are superb - scrambled eggs and home smoked salmon (smoked on site!) with caviar on top - WOW! In the summer the outside area by the pool and BBQ food is just to die for. It is an oasis in an already oasis of the Channel Islands. I cannot fault the hotel, its staff, its food, its service - and whilst it is expensive, it is so worth the expense and the feeling that you have when leaving, that you really do need to come back again so very soon!

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view of the pool to the rear of the hotel. However, all the rooms are extreme...

What a great hotel - it was perfect for a weekend break from hectic London. The hotel is situated a short cab ride from St Hellier and is set in its own grounds. The psychical building is lovely - very country manor - and the service great. We visited just before Christmas and were lucky to have a room upgrade - perfect for a romantic weekend away or short break on the islands. Perfect...

I love this hotel , nothing wrong at all , food is amazing , really friendly staff , can't do enough for you , once I had a sorbet that I didn't like , the waitress noticed this and offered me a selection of others to chose from , the rooms are warm and very comfortable though I've not had the pleasure of staying in one of the refurbished ones yet .
I can't wait to go again.

Room Tip: This place is a must .
