I've recently attended my friends wedding here and the whole experience from start to finish was wonderful. The organisation by the hotel was simply fantastic from the wedding ceremony all the way through to the beautiful meal to complete an awesome day..... And i think the one point that really stood out for me is made in one statement ' attention to detail'.

After some devastating news this was a last minute find to get away. All I can say is perfect place and lovely staff. The staff are friendly and know you by name. They provide impeccable service but without that feeling that you have someone looking over your shoulder. Yes some of the décor is dated but I think it suits the place. The only criticism I could come up with (and this is trying hard) was that it is a shame that the windows/doors in the rooms are the god awful plastic double glazing (it just is not in keeping, but it does its job). This hotel is highly recommended in every way. The food is also superb. If and when I return to Jersey I will be booking here.

It really is a delight to find such a gem of a hotel. The service is impeccable and every member of staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is everything you could hope for. The gardens are beautiful and the pool area excellent although rather lacking in loungers if the hotel is busy - perhaps a few extra ones could be provided on the lawn? Dinner was excellent and a treat. The casual dining option sometimes has to be eaten in the lounge areas when the Bateman Room has been booked for other events. This means eating off coffee tables/knees - not what you would expect in a 5* hotel and not a comfortable experience although the food was delicious. We had a room overlooking the garden with it's own seating area which whilst luxuriously appointed, comfortable and kept immaculately clean by the domestic staff was rather 'of its time' and starting to show its age and in need of a makeover; I understand such a project has already started in parts of the hotel which will be fabulous once finished.
We have already recommended the hotel to friends and family and would definitely stay again if we return to Jersey.

Room Tip: Try to get a refurbished room. Rooms at the front of the hotel get the sun most.

I can't stress enough how wonderful this hotel is. The staff are exceptional, the facilities superb and the food marvellous! This is the best hotel that I've ever stayed in and I simply didn't want to leave.

This is an excellent hotel situated in beautiful grounds. Staff are very efficient, very polite and helpful at all times. Cannot be faulted and highly recommended. If we return to Jersey we will definitely stay here again.

Simply flawless. Beautifully trained staff who are friendly and efficient and make one feel immediately at home. Incredible cooking. We stayed for four nights and simply loved it. Our room was gound floor with french windows to small terrace - but not really warm enough to use. Bathroom lovely and spacious and super REN toiletries (ordered some more when we came home!!). We availed ourselves of the morning tea which was brought to us after a courteous telephone call to ensure we were ready for it. On good days we actually used the outside pool and enjoyed lying around with a pot of tea and a few little pastries (which were not strictly required, but much enjoyed). The grounds and veg garden were a pleasure too. We could have chosen B & B but were very pleased to have taken DBB - the evening meals were something - and the sommeliers were without question helpful and well informed (and did choose interesting combinations for us to try). Felt like we had stayed with friends.

Room Tip: I think we would have like a room overlooking the gardens at rear and over the pool. Would like to...

We were lucky enough to stay for five nights at the start of July and we have to say it was unquestionably the most fantastic time we had ever spent in a hotel. Upon first glance the hotel and grounds are superb, flawless in fact. The cleanliness throughout the entire property couldn't be faulted. We had a small classic located on the ground floor perfectly sufficient and well equipped. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were luxurious, the wardrobe space is more than enough and can cater for all sorts of attire with plenty of coat hangers and shelving.

The arrival and departure experience was superb. I loved the small touch of a handshake upon arrival, which coupled with the knowledgeable yet not over the top rooming proved a significant factor in our stay. They say first impressions count, well ours was fantastic and this set the tone for the rest of our stay.

The team are brilliant; everyone we came into contact with was approachable with a never say no attitude. Pedro and the team have a wonderful eye for detail. For me it’s all the small touches that make all the difference, like the opening of the napkin upon sitting down to the attentive attitude of one of the staff members at breakfast service who kindly took the water glasses from my hands to the table for me. Not that I couldn’t do that myself, this was a well trained member of staff that had one characteristic instilled in him and that was to deliver exceptional guest service, and that he did along with every other member of staff we came into contact with.

This in my opinion is one of major attributes that contributes towards this magnificent hotel holding 5 red stars, and from a fellow hotelier I can say this is well deserved. I cannot wait to return in the not to distant future to experience the splendour all over again. In particular thank you to Pedro for your magnificent hospitality.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice, I was advise to try and upgrade if possible it will be worth it
