Hotel beautifully decorated for Christmas together with candles and log fires adding to the ambience. Excellent service, large room with comfortable bed and wonderful views across the grounds. Booked last minute with Bookings.com and noting others comments was not sure what breakfast we were entitled to so pleased to find full breakfast included (delicious). Evening dining quite expensive so we dined out one night. Our evening meal in the hotel did not disappoint, food was delicious and again the dining room was beautifully decorated for Xmas creating a romantic atmosphere and excellent service.

Hired car so location of hotel not an issue - beautiful grounds. Taxi into town at night was £6-£7. Would like to return again next Christmas.

We were expecting an awful lot from this hotel after friends' recommendations and reviews. By and large, we were not disapointed. All the staff where superb, friendly and efficient, with that extra something that makes for a really memorable experience. The food was sublime and our room was excellent.
However, there were a few points which just took the shine off.
We arrived early in the morning and didn't feel as welcome as we would have expected. We felt that they wanted us to go away and come back after 2pm and it would have been nice to have been offered a coffee. The following afternoon whilst reading in a lounge we were asked politely to vacate our seats to accommodate a party that was arriving later, so we went to our room instead. When we came down a drink before dinner we were again moved. We felt that outside diners were given priority over hotel guests.
The hotel's Wi-Fi is poor with no connection in our room (29) and slow speed throughout the hotel.
It was disappointing to pay a £4.50 supplement for cheese when you are having it instead of your dessert especially when you have already paid £60 for the meal!
Having said all that, these are just niggles that woud not stop us returning, but when you are paying for that experience you expect perfection.

Had a short break in Jersey in March. We booked this via Secret Escapes, so expected the best. The minibus?? that picked us up from the airport had seen better days and most attractions were shut, however we did manage to get into the war tunnels, but spent hours waiting for buses to and fro. The hotel luckily was very good, the food was exceptionally good and the staff could not have been more attentive.
We would return but at a different time of year.

We recently returned to this Hotel after experiencing it delights in warmer weather, we were not disappointed. The Hotel was resplendent with its Christmas decorations, the log fires crackled a warm welcome only matched by the front of house staff. The evening meal was fantastic, service attentive but not intrusive. The display of cheeses would take a very long time to try them all. Try the "stinking bishop" better to taste than it sounds! But please leave room for the breakfast in the morning, the variety is unbelievable, take your time to look at buffet and the menu you will surely find a favourite. We found we could easily go out for the rest of the day without feeling hungry later on. We like the individual design touches in each of the bedrooms we have stayed in previously, no two are the same. They all very clean and well serviced

As we huddle close to the fire now that winter is truly with us, I have been remembering two special occasions this year: The first was my birthday in August celebrated with my dearly beloved and a Recipes from the Garden lunch at Longueville Manor on a glorious summer’s day; and then, to top it off, Longueville extended their special menu into September so, for our anniversary, we were able to return and have another splendid lunch, this time with the added bonus of Executive Chef Andrew Baird and seriously green-fingered David Lewis who talked about the hotel’s fabulous walled kitchen garden and then invited questions from a goodly number who had come along to this sumptuous finale to the Garden Recipe lunches. Thank you to all the lovely staff and I have learned something new...until visiting the vegetable garden on our August visit, I now know what a Jerusalem artichoke looks like when it is growing. I had no idea!

I would recommend this hotel if you are planning a break to recharge your batteries and experience exquisite surroundings and excellent service. From arrival my family and I were greeted and shown to our luxurious and spacious rooms. Throughout the hotel it was clear to see that it had been decorated and maintained to a high standard. Each morning we enjoyed the hot breakfast and buffet on offer which certainly lived up to the hotels five star rating. The evening meals on offer were again out of this world, words cannot describe the presentation, taste and quality of the produce used. All in all I would recommend this hotel and will return to experience all aspects again.

This was our second stay at Longueville Manor and as soon as we started to eat our dinner we looked each other grinning form ear to ear and said ' Now that's why we came back, the food!' Quite simply the food is to die for, just out of this world and every mouthful a whole new delightful burst of flavour and sensations! I could go on for ever but I am sure you get the gist! The staff and rooms are excellent and you are very well looked after. I have to agree with the previous reviews though about the breakfast rationing. get a grip now and do away with this policy as it will cost you more in lost business than you will save by not offering a full cooked breakfast. We once stayed at a hotel in the Lake District and they gave you half of a small flat mushroom as part of your breakfast, too mean to give you a whole one! What is the one thing that we remember about that stay, yes, the half mushroom instead of all the other very positive aspects of the accommodation and we never went back. To be fair you can still have a good breakfast with what they offer on their premier breakfast menu and I would encourage anyone to go and stay there and not be put off. Only an accountant could have thought the breakfast rationing up! Its still one of my favourite hotels so go and enjoy!
