We stayed in this hotel for my 50th birthday. We arrived after a long ferry ride from Portsmouth, our home city, and were delighted to get to the hotel within 15 minutes. Someone was there immediately to greet us and help us with our bags and even park the car. We were told that we had been upgraded from a deluxe suite to a superior suite. Our room was 29, Uncle Walter. On entering the room you couldn't fail to notice how hot it was. We were on the top floor so had the heat from the roof. I opened the windows. We had a view of the pool and were told we could swim any time we liked. We found an electric fan in the cupboard which helped with the heat a bit. The quilt was quite a heavy one on the bed. They may have changed it had we asked but we made do.
The staff were great and were always on hand to help us.
The pool area was lovely and clean.
I can't fault the breakfast. There is plenty of food laid out and they bring you a menu so you can order a full breakfast or something else if you prefer. During our stay the dining room was completely decorated. We came down one morning and it was done. The next morning there were all new chairs. All this was done with no disruption that we could see.
We never heard any road traffic as we were in the back of the hotel. Although it is on a main road we felt safe enough to leave the windows open all day and night. Sometimes we came back to find them shut and one day someone had put on the electric towel heaters!
We never had dinner at the restaurant so I can't comment on this. We were asked several times if we would like to book a table, so it seems there was always space.
The only reason I haven't given the hotel 5 stars is because there is no air conditioning. I am sure the rooms on lower floors would not be so affected by the heat.
As others have mentioned Pedro does an amazing job of looking after this hotel and his staff are a tribute to him.

Special treat for mother's 80th birthday.........not enough superlatives to explain how good, in every respect, this hotel really is.
Mother has visited jersey at least once every year for the last 50 years or so and always dreamed of staying here at some point in time - Not cheap but well worth every penny to make her dream come true.

We were welcomed at the hotel by name and invited into the lounge and offered tea or coffee.
We were never again asked our name or room number and always addressed by all the staff by name. The hotel has lovely grounds and an outdoor heated swimming pool. The food was exceptional and the service was superb. Our room was was large, comfortable and well appointed.
It was cleaned every day to a very high standard. On the day of our anniversary the hotel provided champagne at the evening meal as well as a gift. The interior of the hotel is well very appointed and decorated to a very high standard. The local people said it was the best hotel on the island and my wife and I would concur with that statement without any hesitation.

Room Tip: Here you get what you pay for and more. Although not the cheapest hotel on the island it certainly c...

What a lovely relaxing hotel -
I take my hat off to Pedro and his wonderful team - service is perfect without being overbrearing.
We stayed in a wonderful suite (huge bathroom) and were able to experience the value of a small well run haven of tranquility - as opposed to corporate indifference.
Normally, hotel dinners are to be regarded as a last option - the dinners here are SUPERB!!
easily as good as the Michelin restaurant we use back at home. Recommended without hesitation
The first Relais Chateaux hotel we have stayed in and can't wait to try another location - we will also return to this one but we may have to be dragged kicking and screaming to leave it.

Room Tip: Back of the hotel - room 4 is heaven

It has been too long since we last stayed at Longueville Manor, but were delighted to be in Jersey on business and, therefore, able to spend a few days at the hotel again! We were delighted to be back and for everything to be as lovely as we remembered it from previous visits, including excellent service from the staff and, of course, the wonderful food and room! We were able to relax by the pool and spend some time unwinding, which was very welcome. We were very grateful for the room upgrade - although we were initially taken to the wrong room, which was rather embarrassing. We will return, again and again, to this wonderful haven in Jersey.

Have just returned from a lovely stay in Jersey, our first visit to the island. Have always thought that being this close to Normandy why bother as I love France very much !
Couldn't have been more wrong, a very beautiful place to visit and the island drivers were so considerate to my car with GB number plates.
Now the venue, couldn't have made a wiser choice, brilliant.
I tend to book hotels regardless of reviews and then look at reviews afterwards and was a little perturbed to see some negative comments about the Longueville and prices. Well I suppose some people are never happy or not well acquainted with 5 star.
Pedro Bento is a charming man who runs the hotel, he is there at breakfast time, we had breakfast at 8'ish and was there at nightime. He and his staff could not possibly do better, nothing is too much trouble. Checking in with Danielle was most welcoming, Brian took the luggage from the car to the ground floor deluxe room, well worth the extra, room number 24, Fragrant Cloud, and explained the grounds and public rooms to us.
I had asked to eat in the Oak Room every night for our stay and in fact ate there at the same table for dinner and breakfast, a fantastic, beautiful room.
Apperitives in the lounge before dinner was lovely and the jumbo olives delicious, where we ordered mainly from the table d'hote menu. Taken to our table when dinner was ready.
Andrew Baird, the head chef and his team are to be commended for beautiful food, portion size excellent. Not once did I have anything that was not 100% right, perfectly cooked, presented and empty plates would testify to that !
Miguel, the sommelier was so helpful with dessert wines and his knowledge excellent, a lovely man.
Not once did we have to give our room number, not once was the wrong dish put in front of us, not once did you have to ask for your wine glass to be refreshed, service, superb. Any member of staff could work in the finest hotels in the world !
Congratualtions to Mr. Bento and his amazing staff for making our first stay in Jersey so memorable

As per the title, my wife and I treated ourselves to a long weekend here (3 nights) to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. The package we booked with the hotel included on the first night a gourmet dinner with a different wine with each course. The only drawback with the meal was that the fish course (crab) was served virually raw, certainly very underdone. We think it was this that gave my wife a stomach complaint for the rest of the weekend. The room we had was very nice and came with a bottle of sparkling wine and two complementary designer wine glasses to keep. The breakfast which was included is probably the best breakfast you'll ever experience in a hotel, there was even sparkling wine if you wanted it (Lindauer Brut). All in all we had a terrific time here and the only thing I would say is that perhaps our package was a little over priced for what we got, hence four stars rather than five from me. However, you pay your money and take your choice and the hotel was pretty busy even for an out of season weekend so plenty of people seem willing to pay.
