Having recently returned from a wonderful honeymoon @ Longueville manor on the beautiful island of Jersey, I felt I just had to pop back to TA and say a few words about the place. I cannot fault the hotel on a thing. They gave us an upgrade to a bigger room on arrival. There was a complimentary bottle of champagne on ice, fresh strawberries and shortbread (refreshed daily..very dangerous!). The room was beautiful with our very own "Bonzo" on the huge bed! It was all decorated to an extremely high standard and spotlessly tidy. Great complimentary toiletries, including the fizzy bath bombs, and everything else you'd expect from a hotel of this standard.
The Staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble from them. Breakfast was a feast in itself and all tastes were catered for. The grounds of the hotel are ideal for a lazy stroll after eating too much at breakfast. Didn't test the pool out but it looked very inviting.
On the whole i'd thoroughly reccomend Longueville to anyone for "that special occasion", i may try to talk hubby into a return trip for our first anniversary!!

We returned to the Longueville Manor for a long weekend after going elsewhere in the Channel Islands for the last few years. We were pleased to find that it was still just as good as ever (maybe even better) and pretty much the best hotel anywhere for those who like a more traditional country house atmosphere.

We took advantage of a "Gourmet Break" package with tasting menus included on both nights and we were upgraded (without asking) to the Tower Suite which is one of the best rooms and very luxurious. We don't think that the restaurant is the best in the Channel Islands but it is extremely good and worth a visit on its own just for the cheese.

If you want to characterise this hotel in a few words then "nothing is too much trouble" and all accomplished with effortless ease. The attention to detail by Pedro Bento makes the difference. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Longueville Manor for 4 nights (also stayed 3 nights in Guernsey). We do not regret choosing the Channel Islands, as we had already travelled on an around the world trip, last November, and didn't want any jet lag for our Honeymoon!! The Hotel is set in a quiet location, has plenty of parking, outdoor swimming pool, a lake with several ducks & black swans and extensive gardens and woodland area. We booked the 'Gourmet Break' at the hotel which included a hire car, a double room, a bottle of Champagne, fresh strawberries every evening and meals at the restaurant for the 4 nights of our stay. We were upgraded to a King size room, on the ground floor, with private patio area and just a skip away from the pool. The room was spotless, comfortable and very roomy. This is a very high standard hotel and it definately shows. The staff provide top class service, are friendly and very efficient. We only had to give the reception staff our names the once and they remembered exactly who we were the entire stay. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. The meals at the hotel is something out of this world! We tried food that we had never eated before and love it! There are several courses to sit through and was amazed how perfect everything tasted and how each dish complimented the next course. We had not realised how lovely both Jersey and Guernsey was and definately had a fantastic honeymoon. We fully recommend staying at the Longueville Manor, ...treat yourself ...you're worth it!!

We stayed at Longueville Manor for 3 nights from the 30th of April 2009.

We flew from Doncaster and experienced a two hour delay. By the time we had collected the hire car and got to the hotel, I was shattered as I was just recovering from the flu.
We were greeted by friendly helpful staff who informed us we had been upgraded to a Superior room which was beautiful. There was champagne, fruit and shortbread biscuits in the room(complimentary) and we had bathrobes and lovely toiletries. The bed was massive and very comfortable. After a lie down I felt much better!!
We had views over the grounds and pool and there is a small lake which had 3 beautiful black swans in it and other birds. One evening the swans jumped in the swimming pool-it was so funny to see them going up and down the pool!!

We went on a half board basis and dinner was fantastic. I wanted to take pictures of all the food as they really were works of art! The staff were attentive and explained everything that was in the dish in detail-they really knew their stuff!!

Breakfast was an array of fruits, cereals, meats, breads and of course the full hot breakfast menu. Again the staff were very good, always offering more toast, croissants etc.

This was our first visit to Jersey. St Saviour is a very short drive from busy St Helier where there are lots of restaurants, bars and shops. We travelled around the island which is beautiful- especially the beaches. I would imagine it is lovely in the summer.

To sum up, Longueville Manor more than deserves its 5 star status but it is not pretentious. We were incredibly comfortable and the staff are a true credit to the hotel.

I would definetly return to this wonderful hotel!!

We stayed here in Feb for a long weekend and found the charming hotel offered total comfort and fantastic food - I highly recommend the seven course gourmet taster meal with wines. This hotel has it all: convenient location, beautifully manicured grounds, pleasant and engaging staff, wonderful food and superbly comfortable rooms. Thank you Longueville Manor, we had a great stay..

We have just returned from four wonderful days at Longueville Manor Hotel to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary - it was a present from our two daughters - and what a present it turned out to be! The manor itself is superb, the room was excellent and the staff were courteous, attentive and friendly. The food was a culinary extravaganza...out of this world!

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone especially to those wanting to celebrate a special occasion.
