The food was very good in terms of both quality and quantity. Good old fashioned Guernsey size portions. The crab linguine must have contained a whole crab, and my only slight criticism was that there was perhaps a little too much pasta.

We ate here three times during our stay and there was still a really good choice of food we didn't try from the menu. Staff were friendly and food was served really promptly even when they were busy. Food was freshly cooked and delicious especially the seafood. The views were great so we sat outside each time and when it became cool the heaters were very welcome! Looking forward to returning!

On the recommendation of some fellow hotel guests we came here for lunch. There are a few mixed reviews on this site but in my opinion this little place deserves to be appreciated more. Yes, the views across the bay are lovely but that's neither here nor there. The food is really very enjoyable and that's what most of us want to know. We didn't have any issues with service and I'd rather wait a while for food freshly cooked than have something served up minutes after ordering. If you think service is too slow you clearly don't enjoy chatting with your companions enough to mind the wait. We both ordered halibut and that demands to be cooked to order. It was stunningly good. Meaty as halibut should be but perfectly moist (it can be dry), hot, flaky and very tasty. The delicate salad alongside it was ideal. Some unusual leaves there but all enjoyable. It came with what should have been cracked wheat salad but was, in fact, cous cous, which was a little disappointing (you can't fool me - I may be blind but I know my food). However it didn't spoil a perfectly cooked fish. Definitely worth a visit, assuming you can find it. (Guernsey isn't easy to navigate around. In fact someone should start a gourmet food bus service).

Visited twice from hotel nearby. Busy, noisy restaurant well frequented by locals. The waitresses were very helpful but kept extremely busy. Food was fine but the chef went overboard with the chips on our second visit. The Chilean wine we choose was excellent. Friendly locals invited us to join their quiz team on the Tuesday night as we sat at an adjoining table. Good atmosphere but noisy. Wonderful view of Grand Havre Bay from the restaurant. I had to return the bill as it contained charges for meals supplied to another table. It was quickly amended with apologies. It is an enjoyable restaurant but with some tweaking in the kitchen, could be excellent.
