Had a lovely week staying at the Wayside Cheer with my wife, daughter and my mum. We had a lovely room on the top floor of the hotel and our ten year old daughter and my mum had a really nice 'chalet' type room next to the pool. The rooms have all been recently refurbished and are really good value for money. The staff are all really friendly and will really go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, a special mention must go to Donna and also Enis who must be the most hardworking waiter I have ever seen!
We ate in the totel on three nights and the food was excellent each time (especially the Sea bass). The portions are very generous though and my elderly mum found a childrens portion more than enough (they will do childrens portions of any of the main meals).
Entertainment on the Friday night with Chris was really good fun with our daughter getting up to 'help out' with a couple of songs. A lot of locals come in at the weekend and there is a really good atmosphere.
The only small fault that we found were that the pillows were quite flat and we needed at least three pillows to get a comfortable nights sleep. Maybe time to invest in some new pillows as everything else was excellent.More
