“Disappointing visit this time: understaffed, disappointing menu with neglible Spanish content, but great setting & views”
Reviewed 1 July 2011

Disappointing compared to our first visit 3 years ago. This place appears to have changed and not for the better if you are looking for a reasonable range of spanish tapas at lunchtime. But still worth a visit for the relative seclusion, peace and coastal views and footpath access afforded at Petit Bot.

“Never open”
Reviewed 14 June 2011

Can't really write a review on this restaurant as it was never open for the week were over in Guernsey. We would have loved to have sampled their menu and supped sangria watching the sun go down over the beutiful little beach where the restaurant is situated, but no, we couldn't as every time we went down to see if it was open, it was shut. A blackboard claiming it to be open on Weds, Thurs and Friday evenings was probably a left over relic from times past. What a shame as it is in a beautiful setting.

“Excellent food, lovely location”
Reviewed 22 September 2010

Went to Las Tapitas on a Sunday afternoon in late September and had four dishes for the two of us. Authentic Spanish cuisine and friendly staff in a lovely spot. Well worth the helter-scelter of a car ride down to it! It is basic surroundings but that made it feel a little more authentic. Would reccommend.

“Great food, basic environment”
Reviewed 12 July 2010

The food here was lovely, we had a selection of tapas to share between two, and two delicious (if not very Spanish) desserts! Petit Bot bay is a fab secluded spot and the restuarant is the only place to get food/drink there. However, on a week night, we were one of only two couples in there, and that combined with a very simple decor meant the atmosphere was lacking something. The prices were good, equivalent to those in a standard La Tasca, but the menu was more individual and a lovely taste of more authentic Spain.

This must be about the only place in the British Isles where you can enjoy a fabulous Paella (freshly made) and sit in the sunshine, overlooking a charming pebbled bay, finishing it all off with a lovely Sangria. Great value, too. Ole!
