Have just returned from the Bella Luce after a really lovely relaxing 3 night stay in charming and most welcoming hotel. Christian and his team were extremely friendly polite and helpful, Greeted by lovely Colleen who gave us some good information about the island and showed us to our luxury room. A nicely furnished room with a very comfortable bed and super soft sheets and underfloor heating in the bathroom which was great. There was a good atmosphere in the bar which had a real fire which was perfect for the time of year. Dinner on Saturday night in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. Will definitely stay here again when we return to this lovely friendly island. Thank you.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms here would be nice - we had a loft room and it was very peaceful.

Just returned from a long weekend at the Bella Luce, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Room, staff and food outstanding.
Shame they couldn't make the weather outstanding, but plenty of sunshine in hotel.
We were upgraded to a most beautiful room, we have never had a bad room (3 visits), but this room was stunning, every room has its own finishing stunning details. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, sweets and fruit which was not expected but made our anniversary all the more special.
We returned back home on the Sunday but my thoughts must of still been with the Bella as I forgot to see "The Irish Party" last night which I had bought tickets for at our local hall.
We will try and go back in the summer and try out outdoor pool.
I would love to keep going back (dream job, mystery Bella Luce guest, happy to try out all rooms)

We stayed here for three nights during February half term with our 7 year old son and the amazing experience started from booking. We booked the superb value three night break and I had some queries which were answered quickly and efficiently by Christian. He even arranged a complementary pick up from the airport which was there waiting for us on arrival. They also offered us a transfer back which we declined as we were enjoying the bus rides around the country lanes and wanted one last one! Amazing value at £1 per journey and a heart in your mouth thrill at times around the little country lanes.

When we arrived we were greeted warmly and our bags were whisked up to our room whilst we checked in. Christian spent 5 minutes talking us through all the places we could go, marking them on a map and letting us know how long they would take. He also let us know about bus numbers and journey times as we didn't have a car with us.

He then escorted us to our beautiful room overlooking the front garden and showed us all that was there. The room was wonderful, even with the extra bed there was plenty of room for luggage and to move around. There was a variety of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, biscuits and water replenished every day but the best thing was the little plate of chocolate truffles which were so rich and smooth and fudge which was light and creamy awaiting us with a bottle of wine and a plate of apples. An amazing touch and much appreciated. The bathroom was big with a seperate shower and a bath you could while away hours in.

Breakfast was great with plenty of variety and the cooked breakfasts were a perfect start to the day. We also had afternoon tea which was by a lovely open fire in the bar and we drunk more tea than I think we ever have. Dinner on Thursday was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant manger (sorry forgot the name!!) was so lovely to our son, sitting and talking with him, making sure he was enjoying himself and his team were well run and efficient. Even though there was a conference going on at the hotel when we were there and we came down when they were dining they found a table for us straight away and there was no waiting for our meal. Two outstanding dishes were the crab my husband had which was indescribably delicious and made me wish I had chosen that. It was served in a coconut on ice which is a brilliant idea. The second dish was the duck I had. Mouthwatering and cooked to perfection served with creamy cabbage, which I don't really like but ate it all! The whole meal was well worth the money and fantastic value for the set menu. The children's menu had something for everyone and in manageble portions. The burger our son had was obviously hand made and was cooked just to his liking.

The hotel's location is perfect, 10 minutes by car or bus from the airport. There is a bus stop outside or another one 5 minutes walk into St Martin's where there are supermarkets, bakers, pubs, cafe's and a bank. It is about 20 minutes from St Peter's Port where you can catch a bus anywhere. It is also 10 minutes walk from Moulin Huet, Saints Bay and Petit Port beaches. We went there twice and were the only people there but the beaches are great for exploring and hunting for crabs on a cold but sunny February day. The colour of the water and the lack of any debry after high tide told how clean it was and I would love to revisit in the summer.

Two must things to do whilst you are there is the German occupation museum 10 minutes away by bus near the airport which is fascinating and moving. Also the Sausmarez Manor ghost tour led by the wonderful Peter de Sausmarez which is 10 minutes walk up the road in St Martin.

Only tiny problem we had was that our wifi internet signal was not great in the room but that is probably down to the fact we are with a rubbish network!! Perfect once you get down to reception.

We will be back as Bella Luce is a little gem and the team is outstanding.

My good friends' wedding receiption was handled by staff at the Bella Luce with supreme professionalism, courtesy and skill. Our every need was catered for perfectly

The food was incredible, i ate far too much, which is unual for me but it was just that good!

The decor and lay out are a great mix of contemporary and traditional. They must have excellent interior designers!

I will be continuing to recommend the Bella Luce to all who ask and those who don't as well!

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny

My family and I live in Jersey and we decided to pop over to our sister island of Guernsey for the Christmas break and stayed at the Bella Luce from the 23rd to the 27th December. My wife, daughter and I received a warm welcome on check in and this level of service continued throughout our stay.

The room (we had a luxury guest room) standard is very high, merging the traditional nature of the property with "mod cons". More than enough space for the three of us.
The food was excellent and changes to the menu to accommodate our 7 year old were no problem at all. The staff are outstanding and are always happy to assist, a splendid team. It was evident that they all enjoy working together at the Hotel.

The parish of St Martins is charming with the beautiful “Moulin Huet” Bay only a short walk away, perfect on Boxing Day to blow away the cobwebs and work off some of the seasonal extras.
We would have no reservations in recommending the Bella Luce, and we are looking forward to our next visit.

Only a one night stay on business but so much nicer than other hotels in which we have stayed. The staff were very welcoming and showed up to our rooms. The room was spacious and the bathroom was lovely with soft towels and good quality shampoo, conditioners etc.
We retreated to the bar and had a pot of tea to do some work and then we had supper from the bar menu - a really nice caesar salad followed by a yummy pud. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and this continued at breakfast the next morning - scrambled eggs and lots of tea and toast. We will be back - thank you

Lovely hotel. Very comfortable room and bed. We stayed for two nights and slept extremely well. The whole hotel was extremely clean and our room was especially so. The bathroom was a good size and the supply of toiletries was a nice touch. The breakfasts were very good with choice of continental breakfast or English. my husband especially enjoyed the full English breakfast. We were also lucky enough to enjoy an evening meal at the hotel as they catered for my sister's wedding reception. The food was excellent and the service from the waiters can't be praised enough as they were so attentive. We loved the decor of the hotel, especially the room with the dog portraits, very unusual but all the rooms we saw were decorated very tastefully in the style of the hotel. It is obviously a very well cared for hotel. The staff were all helpful and friendly. We would certainly stay here again next time we come to Guernsey.
