Lovely hotel on the beautiful island of Guernsey. Reasonably priced. Good location if you have a car - near all major sights but not in centre of town. Hotel room clean and well equipped. Public rooms nicely decorated. Staff friendly and helpful.

They offered set menus every evening and we tried the dinner on the first day because we were tired. The food was so good (and reasonably priced) that we ate there every evening of the 4 nights of our holiday. If you get the chance, try the apple pie - best I have ever tasted!!

Late booking. Bedrooms excellent. Ensuite good. Cleanliness excellent. Heath suite/pool good. Was a "warm" building. Stayed BandB. Did not eat in. Breakfast good. Range on offer excellent.Service all round good. Hotel bar/lounge comfortable.Parking no problem. Airplane noise overhead for 30 seconds. Propeller aircraft mainly. Earliest 0630. Latest 2130.About 10/hour at worst. Excellent eatery nearby "The Deerhound Inn". Time to nearest beach by car 20minutes.
Would return again.
Fast Ferry good from Weymouth. OK to Poole, but 30minutes to get into dock through all the boats !

My wife and I arranged this 5 night break at short notice via a newspaper advert. We had read most reviews available but you can"t be sure until you experience for yourself.
We upgraded to a 4 poster executive room, to treat ourselves, and it was beautifully appointed, very tastefully decorated and furnished. The downside was that the room was extremely hot at first , I turned off the radiators, however much of the heat was from hidden pipes. We opened the window for the duration and reception immediately gave us two fans and eventually the temperature became bearable. The window was kept open night and day which meant the aircraft noise between 6am & 9.30pm was more pronounced, but acceptable.Hot water was no problem but heat from the pipes transmitted to the cold water pipes to make it lukewarm, not for drinking, so we had iced water to our room for drinking.Otherwise our room was superb, with facilities as described.

We found the senior staff very helpfull but if you are unlucky enough to be attended solely by junior staff you may have problems. They try to be helpfull but their inexperience and english language difficulties may cause episodes from Fawlty Towers to become reality! We had some minor episodes but not bad enough to avoid seeing the funny side.

The swimming pool and leisure suite is excellent and I could not fault it.

The whole hotel was very clean and well finished.

Car parking is plentifull.

Food was a good, we were on half board and enjoyed almost all of our meals. Both the table de hote & a la carte menus had a wide choice of starters, mains and desserts.

We would return here again without hesitation. It is 3 star rated and you get this as a minimum

We have just returned from 4 days at this wonderful hotel.

The staff were all, without exception extremely friendly and proffessional. The entire hotel is ultra clean and contemporary in design. Food was excellent especially the evening meal we had.
The bar area is very relaxing and if you like you can eat here if you don't want to eat in the restaurant.

I cannot praise this hotel highly enough.

Recommendations for eating out on the island apart from La Trelade are Da Nellos in St Peter Port, La Grand Mere, Beaucette Marina ( what a fantastic location ) and Fermain Valley Hotel.

Thank you La Trelade for a memorable stay.

Nice hotel and rooms have been recently re-done with new bathrooms etc. The food is also very good. Stayed a couple of times and would come back. Paid £72 B& B and would consider staying if they asked for more than that for a single. It is near the airport and so you can hear the planes which I think stop at around 9pm and start just after 6am! Nice people too.

A charming Victorian country house style hotel, situated in fairly open country about halfway between St. Peters Port and the airport. Apparently it is owned by the same people who own the much larger four star St. Pierre Park golf hotel.

The rooms are very nice and clean with tea/coffee facilities, TV and a very nice bathroom with a bathtub.

If you stay on the top floor, you get can see the sea and the surrounding countryside. When I stayed in July, it was bit hot up there, even in moderate weather; Fortunately though, you can open the windows and the reception will provide you with plug in fans on request.

The lounge areas are relaxed. quiet and comfortable with what I can only describe as a sort of up-market air of plain understated graciousness, perhaps like one would imagine the reception room of a large Victorian vicarage; The sort of place where you half expect to see Thomas Hardy or Anthony Trollope sitting in an armchair reading a newspaper.

The restaurant is light and airy in a conservatory type annexe, The service is excellent, the wine list is reasonably priced and the food is superb.

The hotel has it's own attached leisure centre with gym, sauna, massage treatments, a large heated indoor pool with huge glass windows and plenty of loungers (inside and out) for possible all year round sunbathing. Luckily enough for me, hardly anyone was using the pool and the loungers and I had this huge area virtually all to myself. Although the serious part of the gym with the machines looked very busy.

There is plenty of parking space and also conference facilities but unfortunately there is only one internet access point for non-conference guests and that wasn't useable when I was staying there.

In summary, this a great little hotel and one of the best three star rated hotels that I have stayed in. The food in particular is outstanding and excellent value. The place seems to be run like clockwork with frendly, attentive staff.

Have recently spent 4 nights at this hotel. We had a very enjoyable stay with the staff being very pleasant. The hotel is in an ideal location to explore the island (would recommend you get a car to do this) and is only 5mins from the airport.
The rooms were quite modern and very clean.
The restaurant has an extensive menu where you can chose from a la carte, set menu or bar type meals. The both times we ate there was very nice, with attentive staff. We would also recommend The Deerhound Inn which is on the same road as the hotel, just before the airport.
The hotel pool was very nice. It was good to relax poolside - the hotel provided daily papers and magazines for guests to read.
Overall would recommend and would stay there again.
